A Member joins the programme at the Privilege Club level and may be granted Gold, Silver or Burgundy membership depending on the number of Qpoints earned in each Membership Year, from January 1st until December 31st of each year.
Each Membership Level is identified by a personalized Membership Card that entitles the member to receive exclusive benefits and privileges. After joining the programme, a member receives his Privilege Club card only upon his first accrual activity with Qatar Airways or any programme partner. Privilege Club may at its sole discretion change membership benefits at any time without prior notice to its members.
Membership Cards are non transferable and can only be used by the person whose name is printed on the card and used for the purpose of identification only.
It is the Member’s responsibility to inform Qatar Airways as soon as possible in the event of loss, theft or unauthorized use of their Privilege Club Membership Card.
Privilege Club may upgrade or downgrade a Member’s Membership Level at its sole discretion. Only Qpoints earned in the current year are considered when qualifying for a Membership Level, Qpoints will not be carried forward to another membership year.
Qpoints are the currency used by Qatar Airways for a Member to qualify for each Membership Level in Privilege Club and can only be earned from the commencement of membership. Family Members are not eligible to earn Qpoints.
Qpoints are valid for one Membership Year and count towards your Membership Level in Privilege Club. On January 1st of each year, according to the number of Qpoints you have earned during the previous Membership Year, you will either be upgraded or downgraded to another Membership Level, or you will retain your existing one according to the Qpoints earned or maintained during the year. You will then receive a new Membership Card and your Qpoints balance will be reset to zero on January 1st of each year
The number of Qpoints credited depends on the Programme conditions valid at the time of utilization of the service. In the case of Retroactive Qpoints credit requests, Qpoints will be credited to the Member’s account in the corresponding calendar year when the flight Transaction took place and not when the request is made.
Members will earn Qpoints for Qualifying Flights according to the booking class purchase and the regions travelled to and from. Partner Transactions are not eligible for Qpoints accrual.

After downgrading, the member will lose all benefits associated with the family program until he re-qualifies for a Burgundy level.
