Excess baggage is charged per kg, except to/from the Americas / Africa, where it is charged per piece;
Purchase units are offered in increments of single pieces or bundles of 1kg (2.2lb) each;
Each passenger is allowed to purchase Excess baggage as following. – Underweight concept tickets maximum of 100kg per passenger and Under piece concept tickets maximum of five (5) additional pieces with a maximum weight per piece of 23kg (Economy) / 32kg (Premium). Passengers travelling to/from countries Maputo, Mozambique (MPM) and São Paulo, Brazil (GRU) under piece concept tickets a maximum of 10 pieces with a maximum weight per piece of 23kg (Economy) / 32kg (Premium) will be permitted.
A single piece of checked-in baggage must not weigh more than 32kg (70lb) or exceed 158cm (62in) in length + width + height. Any bags weighing more than 32kg (70lb) must be broken down so each piece weighs less than 32kg (70lb);
Excess baggage purchases apply to Qatar Airways flights and for tickets issued by Qatar Airways only.
Excess baggage is calculated per passenger per journey, where a journey is defined as the entire outbound or inbound trip between origin and destination, not including the transfer point;
Purchases may be made from the time a booking is ticketed, up to 6 hours prior to departure. They are valid only for the flight and date shown on the excess baggage purchase receipt. To determine whether or not a booking is ticketed, check the confirmation email for a ticket number next to each passenger’s name;
Excess baggage charges are quoted and billed in the currency of the departure country;
Excess baggage once purchased changes are permitted free of charge, In case there is a change in routing difference in rates may apply. Refund is permitted free of charge only for involuntary scenario resulting in NON-delivery of the Service. Voluntary scenarios service is NON-Refundable
Excess baggage is not valid for travel on other carriers;
Excess baggage is subject to space limitations at check-in. 1. Rates Sales Validity: Effective from 7 NOV 2021
2. Sales valid only through all QR offices and Travel agents.
3. Account code: HDQ01 required for pricing.(1A FXG/AC-HDQ01)
4. Rates are in USD and valid for travel To/From Africa (example rates are from China to Africa) and To/From Saudi Arabia.
5. Sales Restriction: Purchase should be done 24 hours prior to flight departure.
6. Above rates are valid for all cabin bookings.
7. Only one EMD can be issued for BULK transaction as tabled below per passenger.

8. BULK Service is offered only on Wide body operating aircrafts (Not eligible on Aircraft types A320, A321, A319)

9. SSR BULK must be confirmed on all Flights involved in Origin and Destination and EMD must be associated to these flights. Normal standard rates will be charged at check-in in case of any failure of service confirmation and EMD disassociation
10. Standard Over weight / Over size rates will be charged at Airport if Pieces exceeds standard weight of 30 KGs / dimensions dimension L+W+H of 158cm.
11. In case of any Involuntary scenarios including but not limited to aircraft downgrade Qatar Airways reserves the right to reject accepting any BULK services at airport check-in
12. Min/Max purchase: 5 PCS under BULK

a. Minimum purchased baggage is 30Kgs = 1 PC

b. Maximum purchased baggage is 150 KGs = 5 PCS

c. Additional baggage to be purchased should be in blocks of 30Kgs. E.g. 30Kgs, 60Kgs, 90Kgs.Maximum up to 150 Kgs in a single EMD transaction.

Changes – Permitted Free of Charge,

Cancellation – Permitted Free of Charge for involuntary scenario resulting in non-delivery of service.

The Residual value EMD can be issued for further transportation / refund EMD Issuance – SSR confirmation is mandatory for EMD issuance

Other conditions – Rates are applicable for Africa routes from network.
