A guideline document describing Qatar Airways ancillary services and EMD issuances through Amadeus GDS is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
We are in the process of activating this functionality on other GDSs as well. Upon successful testing, we will inform you of activation of the functionality in other GDSs accordingly.
Note: all baggage rates prior to 6 hours from departure time will be dynamic and are subject to changes.

- - Excess baggage is charged per KGs for entire network except Africa and America
- - Purchase units are offered in increments of single pieces. Each passenger is allowed to purchase Excess baggage as following. – Underweight concept tickets maximum of 100kg per passenger for Narrow Bodies aircrafts and 250 KGs for wide bodies aircrafts online and Under piece concept tickets maximum of five (5) pre-paid additional pieces with a maximum weight per piece of 23kg (Economy) / 32kg (Premium) and an additional 5 PC of BULK piece of 32 KG in all cabin for narrow Bodies and maximum of five (5) pre-paid additional pieces with a maximum weight per piece of 23kg (Economy) and Fifteen (15) of Bulk piece of 32 KG for Wide bodies for online channels.
- - A single piece of checked-in baggage must not weigh more than 32kg (70lb) or exceed 158cm (62in) in length + width + height. Any bags weighing more than 32kg (70lb) must be broken down so each piece weighs less than 32kg (70lb);
- - Excess baggage is calculated per passenger per journey, where a journey is defined as the entire outbound or inbound trip between origin and destination, not including the transfer point; Purchases may be made from the time a booking is ticketed. They are valid only for the flight and date shown on the excess baggage purchase receipt. To determine whether or not a booking is ticketed, check the confirmation email for a ticket number next to each passenger’s name; Excess baggage charges are quoted and billed in the currency of the departure country;
- - Excess baggage once purchased changes are permitted free of charge, in case there is a change in routing difference in rates may apply. Refund is permitted free of charge only for involuntary scenario resulting in NON-delivery of the Service. Voluntary scenarios service is NON-Refundable
- - Excess baggage is subject to space limitations at check-in. If excess baggage cannot be accepted because of space limitations or airline-initiated flight or schedule changes, it may be refunded or transferred to another flight with the same origin and destination, in accordance with the airline's policies; Online excess baggage purchase is not allowed for infants; Online Excess baggage purchased is only valid for Qatar Airways direct flights. If you need to book excess baggage for an itinerary that includes interline or code-share flights, please contact QR offices / those carriers for their excess baggage policies; Qatar Airways reserves the right to not offer the discounted price. in case purchase of excess baggage is not completed for any reason,

Purchase conditions:
- - Excess baggage is charged per piece to/from the Americas / Africa,
- - Purchase units are offered in increments of single pieces. Each passenger is allowed to purchase Excess baggage as following. —
- - Underweight concept tickets maximum of 100kg per passenger for Narrow Bodies aircrafts and 250 KGs for wide bodies aircrafts online and Under piece concept tickets maximum of five (5) pre-paid additional pieces with a maximum weight per piece of 23kg (Economy) / 32kg (Premium) and an additional 5 PC of BULK piece of 32 KG in all cabin for narrow Bodies and maximum of five (5) pre-paid additional pieces with a maximum weight per piece of 23kg (Economy) and Fifteen (15) of Bulk piece of 32 KG for Wide bodies for online channels.

Rates are applicable for purchase up to 24 hours to flight departure under Service Code BULK. Account code: HDQ01 required for accessing Bulk Rates. (Amadeus entry FXG/AC-HDQ01). SSR BULK - Minimum Purchase = 10Kg (RFISC B01) and Max Purchase is 100Kg. SSR BULK TTLxxKg (xx Replace with required Kgs) Only one EMD can be issued for BULK transaction per Pax, Per Direction.
