1. SUMMARY
The Qatar Airways FIFA Fan Zone Gamification (the “Campaign”) is sponsored by Qatar Airways (the “Sponsor” or “Qatar Airways”).
The Campaign is a skill-based promotional competition designed to engage participants through football knowledge-based quizzes and leaderboard-based competition.
These Official Rules form a legally binding agreement between Qatar Airways and each individual who participates (the “Participant”). By participating, Participants agree to comply with these Official Rules.
The Campaign is designed as a game of skill only and does not involve chance, betting, or gambling.
FIFA, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and related marks are trade marks owned by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association and used under license. FIFA is not a sponsor or administrator of this contest in any way. FIFA shall have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this Campaign or any prize awarded.
2. Eligibility
2.1 NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
2.2 The Campaign is open to individuals who:
- Are 18 years or older;
- Hold a valid Qatar Airways Privilege Club account;
- Reside in eligible countries as determined by Qatar Airways.
2.3 The Campaign is open only in jurisdictions where participation is permitted by applicable law. Qatar Airways reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or prohibit participation in the Campaign in any country or territory, including by means of geo‑blocking or other access controls.:
3. How to participate
This section explains how eligible users join the Campaign through the Qatar Airways mobile app, complete onboarding, select a team, and access quizzes during the tournament.
3.1 Participation in the Campaign is free and requires no purchase or payment.
3.2 To participate, eligible users must access the Campaign through the Qatar Airways mobile app and complete onboarding, which includes:
(a) Logging in or registering for a valid Privilege Club account;
(b) Choosing a primary team at the start of the Campaign; and
(c) Providing any required profile details and consent information.
3.3 After completing onboarding, participants may take part in quizzes linked to matches played by their selected team.
3.4 Participants may take part only in quizzes related to matches involving their selected team.
3.5 Each quiz becomes available after the relevant match ends. Match data is used solely as contextual or thematic content and does not determine scoring, ranking, or reward eligibility..
3.6 If a participant’s selected team is eliminated, the participant may continue by choosing another team before the next applicable match day.
3.7 Participants may be subject to a maximum number of quiz attempts per day, as stated in the Campaign interface.
3.8 Participation continues throughout the tournament, subject to compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
4. Gameplay Rules
This section sets out how quizzes work, when they are available, how scores are calculated, and the conditions for continued participation.
4.1 Game Structure
4.1.1 The Campaign consists of a series of football knowledge quizzes linked to FIFA tournament matches.
4.1.2 Each quiz tests factual football knowledge and does not involve prediction, chance, or randomness.
4.1.3 Each quiz contains a fixed number of timed questions, as specified in the Campaign interface.
4.2 Quiz Availability & Access
4.2.1 Quizzes become available after the relevant match and are based on official statistics and results relating to the participant’s selected team and its opponent.
4.2.2 Participants may access only quizzes related to matches played by their selected team.
4.2.3 Access to quizzes may be subject to time limits and availability windows communicated within the Campaign.
4.3 Performance-Based Scoring Model
4.3.1 The Campaign uses a purely performance-based scoring system.
4.3.2 All quizzes carry equal weight, regardless of tournament stage, including the group stage, knockout stage, and quater final. The semi final, 3rd ranking, and Final games are not part of this game.
4.3.3 No stage-based multipliers, escalation factors, or bonus weighting apply.
4.3.4 No participant receives any advantage, multiplier, bonus, or preferential treatment based on match outcomes, team progression, or external events.
4.4 Score Calculation
4.4.1 Points are awarded solely for correct answers:
- (a) Correct answer: Up to Two hundred (100+100) points;
- (b) Incorrect answer: Zero (0) points.
- (c) Each quiz has 4 questions
4.4.2 Base points of 100 is awarded for each correct answer
4.4.3 A time-based performance factor (the “Speed Factor”) applies and is calculated as follows:
Speed Factor = 100 * (10 seconds - TimeTaken in seconds) / 10
4.4.4 Each quiz score is calculated as follows:
Question Score = Base Points (100) + Speed Factor (Up to 100)
Quiz Score = Sum of all Question scores for the quiz
4.4.5 A participant’s total score is the sum of all Quiz scores earned during the Campaign.
4.4.6 The Speed Factor is applied solely as an objective performance differentiator among participants who submit correct answers and does not introduce chance, randomness or variable weighting.
4.4.7 If there are one or more participants with an equality of votes, Qatar Airways may determine the winner(s) by the means of further skill based competitions as reasonably required
4.5 Equal Scoring Principle
4.5.1 There is no round-based escalation.
4.5.2 All quizzes have the same maximum scoring potential at every stage of the tournament.
4.5.3 Participants do not receive additional benefits, multipliers, or scoring advantages based on:
- (a) Tournament progression;
- (b) Match importance;
- (c) Stage of competition (e.g., knock out stage vs group stage).
4.6 Gameplay Conditions
4.6.1 Participants must complete each quiz within the designated time constraints to qualify for scoring.
4.6.2 Responses once submitted cannot be modified.
4.6.3 Late submissions or incomplete quizzes may not be eligible for scoring.
4.7 Progression & Continuity
4.7.1 Participants shall continue to accumulate points across multiple quizzes throughout the Campaign duration.
4.7.2 If a participant’s selected team is eliminated, the participant may continue participation by selecting another team, subject to the conditions outlined in Section 3.
4.8 Fair Play Compliance
4.8.1 All gameplay must be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
4.8.2 The use of automated tools, bots, or any artificial means to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.
4.8.3 Qatar Airways reserves the right to monitor gameplay activity and investigate any suspicious behavior.
4.8. 4 Leaderboard rankings used for reward allocation shall be based only on verified and validated scores following completion of all fraud checks and audit processes.
4.9 System Integrity
4.9.1 The Campaign operates on a real-time scoring and leaderboard system.
4.9.2 While all efforts will be made to ensure system accuracy, Qatar Airways does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform.
4.9.3 Any technical issues, delays, or system interruptions shall be handled at the sole discretion of Qatar Airways.
5. Leaderboard & Ranking
This section explains how leaderboard rankings are determined, displayed, updated, locked, and verified before final rewards are allocated.

5.1 Leaderboard Framework
5.1.1 The Campaign shall include a centralized leaderboard that ranks participants based on their cumulative performance across all eligible quizzes.
5.1.2 The leaderboard shall be updated on a real-time or near real-time basis, subject to system processing and availability.
5.1.3 Rankings displayed on the leaderboard are provisional until final verification at the end of the Campaign.
5.2 Ranking Methodology
5.2.1 Participants shall be ranked strictly based on their total accumulated score, calculated in accordance with Section 4.
5.2.2 The leaderboard reflects performance across multiple quizzes and does not consider any external factors, including:
- (a) Match outcomes;
- (b) Tournament stage;
- (c) Random selection; or
- (d) Any form of chance or probabilistic behavior.
Rankings are determined solely by objective participant performance.
5.3 Transparency of Scoring
5.3.1 Participants shall be able to view:
- (a) Their current score;
- (b) Their leaderboard position;
- (c) Score progression over time (as available in the interface).
5.3.2 Scoring rules and methodologies shall remain consistent throughout the Campaign and shall not be modified in a way that materially impacts fairness without prior notice.
5.4 Leaderboard Updates & Locking
5.4.1 Leaderboard rankings shall remain dynamic throughout the Campaign duration.
5.4.2 Upon completion of the final eligible quiz:
- (a) Leaderboards shall be locked within a defined period (e.g., 24 hours);
- (b) No further score changes will be permitted after locking.
5.4.3 Final rankings shall be subject to verification prior to confirmation and reward allocation.
5.5 Verification & Adjustment Rights
5.5.1 Qatar Airways reserves the right to review, validate, and audit leaderboard results to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
5.5.2 Scores or rankings may be adjusted or invalidated in cases of:
- (a) Suspected fraudulent activity;
- (b) Technical anomalies;
- (c) Breach of participation rules;
- (d) Data inconsistencies or errors.
5.5.3 Any such adjustments shall be made at the sole discretion of Qatar Airways and shall be final and binding, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
5.6 Visibility & Public Display
5.6.1 Leaderboard visibility may include:
- (a) Participant name
- (b) Ranking position;
- (c) Score metrics.
5.6.2 Display of participant information shall be subject to applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
5.7 Participant Status & Progression Indicators
5.7.1 The Campaign may include non-monetary status indicators (e.g., levels, tiers, or badges) to reflect participant engagement and progress.
5.7.2 Such indicators:
- (a) Are for informational and engagement purposes only;
- (b) Do not directly influence leaderboard scoring;
- (c) Do not guarantee rewards or ranking advantages.
5.8 No Guarantee of Ranking Stability
5.8.1 Leaderboard rankings are dynamic and may change at any time based on other participants’ performance.
5.8.2 Participants acknowledge that interim rankings do not guarantee final position or reward eligibility.
5.9 Final Authority
5.9.1 All leaderboard outcomes, including final rankings, shall be determined solely by Qatar Airways based on the rules outlined in these Terms.
5.9.2 Such determinations shall be final and not subject to dispute, except where required by applicable law.
6. Engagement Rules
6.1 Participants may participate in a maximum of three (3) quizzes per day, subject to availability and system rules.
6.2 Participants may receive notifications relating to match events and quiz availability, including but not limited to pre-match alerts, reminders, and engagement prompts.
6.3 Participants shall have access to real-time or near real-time updates, including:
- (a) Individual quiz scores;
- (b) Cumulative score; and
- (c) Leaderboard ranking throughout the Campaign.
6.4 Participation is continuous and subject to compliance with these Terms and Conditions and applicable Campaign rules.
7. Rewards & Prize Allocation
- (a) Are not guaranteed;
- (b) Are not determined by chance, lottery, or random draw; and
- (c) Are not linked to match outcomes, predictions, or external factors.
7.5 Eligibility for rewards shall be determined solely by:
- (a) Final leaderboard position; or
- (b) Predefined performance thresholds, as communicated by Qatar Airways.
7.6 Qatar Airways reserves the right to verify eligibility prior to reward allocation.
7.7 Qatar Airways reserves the right to withhold, substitute, modify, or limit rewards in any jurisdiction where regulatory approval is required, delayed, refused, or where distribution of such rewards would be unlawful or impracticable.
7.8 Conditions relating to FIFA tickets:
(a) Winners and their guest (“Attendees”) agree to comply with the FIFA Ticket Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”) applicable to their Prize ticket(s) for the FIFA World Cup 2026TM. The Terms of Use, along with any other ticket terms and conditions, are available (or will be made available) on FIFA.com/tickets. Tickets are intended solely for use by the Attendees and may not be not be provided to any other person, including through resale, exchange, or barter. Any such resale, exchange, barter, or other commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification, prize forfeiture, and invalidation of the licence granted for the tickets.
(b) All FIFA World Cup 2026TM venue restrictions and rules governing stadium safety, security and conduct also apply, including those set out in the FIFA World Cup 2026TM Stadium Code of Conduct (“Stadium Code of Conduct”), available on FIFA.com/tickets. Attendees are expected to respect other guests and event staff and must refrain from using foul or offensive language, obscene gestures, or engaging in unruly, disruptive, threatening or violent behavior.
(c) The Stadium Code of Conduct, the Terms of Use and all other applicable terms and conditions available on fifa.com/tickets are deemed to be incorporated into these Terms and Conditions. FIFA and/or its affiliates reserve the right to cancel any ticket(s) if FIFA determines an Attendee has failed to comply with the Terms of Use, the Stadium Code of Conduct, or any other applicable terms and conditions.
8. Disqualification
8.1 Qatar Airways reserves the right to disqualify any Participant who:
- (a) Accesses or attempts to access the Campaign from a restricted country;
- (b) Fails to select a new team following elimination prior to the next applicable match day;
- (c) Remains inactive for three (3) consecutive quiz rounds;
- (d) Provides false, incomplete, or misleading information; or
- (e) Violates any provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
8.2 Disqualification may result in removal from the leaderboard and forfeiture of any rewards. The decision to disqualify a participant shall be final, subject to any non‑excludable rights under applicable law.
9. Fair Play & Compliance
9.1 Each Participant may maintain only one (1) account for participation in the Campaign.
9.2 Any attempt to:
- (a) Manipulate scoring;
- (b) Use automated tools, bots, or scripts; or
- (c) Exploit system vulnerabilities
shall result in immediate disqualification.
9.3 Qatar Airways reserves the right to monitor gameplay activity and take appropriate action in response to suspected misuse or abuse of the system.
10. Data Usage
10.1 Participant personal data may be processed for the purposes of:
- (a) Campaign administration;
- (b) Leaderboard ranking and performance tracking; and
- (c) Reward validation and fulfillment.
10.2 All data processing shall be conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Qatar Airways’ Privacy Notice available here [provide link to the website/ mobile app privacy notice].
11. Legal Compliance
11.1 The Campaign is designed and operated in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
11.2 The Campaign adheres to the following principles:
- (a) No gambling or betting elements;
- (b) No randomness or chance-based reward allocation;
- (c) No linkage between rewards and match outcomes; and
- (d) Full transparency in scoring, ranking, and reward allocation processes.
The Campaign is classified as a skill-based engagement activity.
12. Liability & Changes
12.1 Qatar Airways reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- (a) Modify, suspend, or cancel the Campaign;
- (b) Amend these Terms and Conditions; or
- (c) Adjust Campaign mechanics,
where reasonably required for operational, technical, or legal reasons.
12.2 Qatar Airways shall not be liable for any:
- (a) Technical failures;
- (b) Service interruptions; or
- ·(c) Inability to access the Campaign
resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
13. Governing Law
- 13.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, except where mandatory local consumer or promotional laws require otherwise. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
- 13.2 Any disputes arising in connection with the Campaign shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the State of Qatar, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
