Our New Distribution Capability (NDC) programme.
Qatar Airways is extending its five-star experience to trade partners with the launch of our New Distribution Capability (NDC) programme, Oryx Connect.
Qatar Airways is enhancing and adding more flexibility to its NDC programme, Oryx Connect by providing more rich content and more accessibility via multiple aggregator platforms including Amadeus and Sabre.
Oryx Connect will offer next-level retailing for our joint customers. It will enable trade partners to access more rich content including Fare Families and a selection of ancillary services, such as baggage and seats selection
How to get started with Oryx Connect
We welcome all trade partners to join Oryx Connect to benefit from full offer and order management capabilities from booking, servicing, ticketing and payment. This includes intuitive display of Qatar Airways’ Classic, Convenience, Comfort and Elite fares, helping them deliver the most suitable product offering to customers. They will also have access to a variety of ancillary products and service offerings, such as selecting Preferred Seats and adding Special Service Requests. Payment options include industry-standard settlement methods, such as BSP cash and card, and IATA EasyPay.
Our programme will offer three access options for you to harness the power of this new solution.

Our Fare Family upsell propositions and benefits will be easy to review and select
Any approved trade partner can join by subscribing to Oryx Connect programme via Trade Portal registration pages. Existing partners connected through Amadeus or Sabre don’t need to register although we recommend that for the enhanced servicing and support functions
Any approved trade partner on the applicable markets can start using Oryx Portal without technical development or additional charges.
Oryx Connect Capabilities
- Full availability of our published flight schedules including codeshare flights and all interline partners (via applicable platforms)
- Ability to sell our published fares including easily identifiable Qatar Airways’ Classic, Convenience, Comfort and Elite fares, and benefits such as free seating and lounge access
- Depending on the connection type, access rich content including images, videos and flight information with aircraft type, available cabins and interactive seat maps
- Ability to sell a variety of our private fares for authorised sellers
- Ability to sell ancillary products such as Preferred Seats and Extra Baggage Allowance
- Ability to add Special Service Requests (SSR) like wheelchair, special meals and others
- Multiple payment methods in BSP markets (including credit cards and IATA EasyPay)
- Ability to service NDC bookings via Oryx Portal on applicable markets, including rebookings, cancellations and refunds.
The NDC Standard enhances the capability of communications between airlines and travel agents and enables the travel industry to transform the way air products are retailed to corporations, leisure and business travelers.
