Pets that are accepted

Qatar Airways accepts domesticated dogs, cats, and birds as checked baggage. Service dogs can be transported in the cabin free of charge when travelling on specific routes.*

Pet travel requirements

To travel with a pet on Qatar Airways the following requirements must be met:

• The pet must be in good health and have a valid vaccination certificate
• The pet must be in a suitable container that meets IATA Live Animals Regulations
• The passenger must submit a request for pet travel at least 48 hours before their flight

The cost of pet travel on Qatar Airways varies depending on the weight of the pet and the travel route.
