Codeshare flights operated by a third party (including where the flight carries a Qatar Airways flight number) do not qualify, but flights operated by Virgin Australia are eligible.

How winners are chosen

Winners will be notified by 21 December 2026 and must respond within five business days to accept the prize and confirm they are available to travel to coincide with the Qatar Mega Famil in March 2027, or else forfeit the prize.

5.1. To enter the Promotion, Participants must, during the Promotional Period, issue tickets for flights on Qatar Airways originating from Australia on 157 stock only and operated by either Qatar Airways or Virgin Australia (excluding any other codeshare flights) (Eligible Ticket), subject to the exclusions in clause 5.6. Each Eligible Ticket issued constitutes one (1) entry into the Promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, a single booking may give rise to multiple Eligible Tickets (and therefore multiple entries), as each ticket issued under that booking is assessed individually. Eligible Tickets may be for either one-way or return flights. Infant tickets (being tickets for passengers under 2 years old) are excluded. The total number of Eligible Tickets issued by the Participant within the Promotional Period constitutes the final entry count for the Participant.

5.2. The Participant must enter in the passenger name record (PNR) in the other services information (OSI) field the campaign name EARLYBIRD followed by their Trade Portal ID, e.g. EARLYBIRDTA12345678 (Code), for the Eligible Ticket at the time the Eligible Ticket is issued. There must not be a space between the campaign name and the Participant’s Trade Portal ID. The Participant is responsible for ensuring that the Code is input correctly because an invalid or incorrect Code will cause the Eligible Ticket to be excluded from the final entry count for the Participant. No prompt or warning will be issued if a Code is input incorrectly.

5.3. Participants must enter their Code on each Eligible Ticket. Eligible Tickets must be issued within the Promotional Period in order to contribute to the final entry count.

5.4. Participants must enter their Code in the OSI field on each eligible PNR for Qatar Airways’ tracking purposes. Eligible PNRs without the Code will not be counted towards the Participant's final entry count.

5.5. Eligible Tickets that comply with these Terms when issued but are subsequently cancelled will not be counted towards the final entry count.

a. Codeshare flights operated by a third party, including where the flight carries a Qatar Airways flight number;

b. Familiarisation (Fam) tickets;

If the total sales revenue attributable to the Eligible Tickets of the tied Participants is also the same, then the Participant who was first to issue their final Eligible Ticket will win.

6.4. Total prize value for each Prize is approximately AUD $3,000. Total prize pool value is approximately AUD $60,000.

7. Winners will be notified via email and phone using the contact information linked to their Trade Portal account by 21 December 2026. If any Winner did not input their contact information in their Trade Portal account, the Promoter will make reasonable attempts to contact the Winner. Winners will have five (5) business days from the date they are notified to respond via email to accept the Prize. If a Winner does not accept the Prize within this period or if the Promoter is unable to contact a Winner after making reasonable attempts to do so, the Prize will be deemed to have been forfeited.

8. If a Winner is not available to travel during March 2027 on the dates determined by the Promoter, the Winner will forfeit the Prize.

9. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries, eligibility of Participants and that these Terms have been complied with (including verifying Participants' identity, age, employment and place of residence) and reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

10. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

11. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

12. If there is a dispute as to the identity of a Participant, the Promoter may determine the identity of the Participant, in its reasonable discretion.

13. If for any reason a Winner does not take or redeem a Prize (or part of a Prize) or the Winner does not participate in a part of the Prize at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the Prize (or that part of the Prize) will be forfeited.

14. All travel arrangements for the Prize must be booked through Qatar Airways, in compliance with any instructions that may be given to the Winner. Each Winner must have valid government-issued documents as required for the itinerary and be legally able to travel without a legal guardian. Winners are responsible for the cost of any additional accommodation, visas, passports, insurance, transportation to and from the applicable Australian departure airport, meals and other travel expenses not specifically included in the Prize described in clause 6.1. The Prize tickets do not entitle the holder to any mileage credit as part of the Privilege Club program. The Prize tickets will be issued as electronic tickets. Travel insurance is not included in the Prize. Qatar Airways strongly recommends that each Winner purchases suitable comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. The Prize must be taken during March 2027 on dates determined by the Promoter to coincide with the Qatar Airways Mega Familiarisation. Qatar Airways is not liable for any expense incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay. 18. The Promoter will collect Participants' personal information available from their Trade Portal account (including their name, username and published contact details) to enable them to enter the Promotion and in order to administer the Promotion. The Promoter may collect additional information from the Winners (including additional contact information, date of birth and passport copies) in order to verify the identity of each Winner, announce the Winners, and award, provide and manage any prizes. If a Participant does not provide the Promoter with requested personal information, the Participant will not be eligible to participate in the Promotion or win a prize. Information collected or submitted in connection with the Promotion will be treated in accordance with Qatar Airways' Privacy Notice (as may be amended from time to time), currently located at https://www.qatarairways.com/en-au/legal/privacy.html.

19. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention, fraud, cancellation of an event, changes, government restrictions, epidemics, pandemics or health concerns, the Promoter may, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) disqualify any Participant; or (b) modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.

20. Any cost associated with entering this Promotion, including accessing the Trade Portal and booking system, is the Participant’s responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a Participant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Participant invalid.

21. Each Participant indemnifies the Promoter and its related companies against all claims, loss, damage, costs and expenses (including legal costs) suffered or incurred by the Promoter as a result of the Participant's conduct in the Promotion, any breach of these Terms by the Participant or their use of any Prize. Participants must comply with any applicable laws in connection with participation in the Promotion and taking any Prize, including laws regarding referral arrangements and secret commissions.

22. Nothing in this clause 22 limits any right or guarantee (Non-Excludable Guarantees) the Participant may have under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and any equivalent state or territory legislation (Australian Consumer Law) or any other applicable laws and conventions that cannot lawfully be excluded. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability for any personal injury and any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) an event of force majeure; (b) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction; (c) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (d) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (e) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms after the date of these Terms; (f) any tax liability incurred by a Winner or Participant; or (g) use of a prize. For the purposes of this clause 22, an event of force majeure means: (a) an act of God; (b) war; (c) any act of terrorism; (d) revolution; (e) any unlawful act against public order or authority; (f) a strike or industrial dispute; (g) an act or omission of a government agency; (h) an epidemic or pandemic; or (i) any other event (whether the same as or different to the events set out in (a) to (h) above) that is outside of the Promoter's reasonable control.

23. Some in-destination experiences forming part of the Prize may constitute recreational services. Before participating in any adventure-based or physically demanding in-destination experience (including but not limited to the desert safari), each Winner may be required by the Promoter or the relevant activity provider to sign a waiver, release or acknowledgement in a form required by applicable law (including in the form prescribed by the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Regulations 2012 (Vic), if applicable). A Winner who does not sign the required waiver or acknowledgement may not be permitted to participate in the relevant activity, and no replacement activity or compensation will be provided.

24. To the extent that any part of the Prize involves recreational services within the meaning of sub-section 139A(2) of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or section 22 of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 (Vic), the Promoter, its related companies and their respective officers, employees, volunteers, agents and prize suppliers exclude all liability for death or personal injury (including as described in sub-section 139A(3) of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), except for liability for significant personal injury caused by their reckless conduct within the meaning given in sub-section 139A(5) of that Act.
