Programme enhancements with you in mind
As part of our continued efforts to enhance your online experience with us, we have listened to your feedback and are introducing steps to make managing your (membership) account online ever more seamless.
You can now do all of your account activities online. This includes: booking your award tickets to nominating family members, profile updates, cabin upgrades, excess baggage, date changes, refunds etc., we are bringing flexibility to your fingertips.
To enhance the security of your account, we require that you register your current email address and mobile number with us. Without these details you will be unable to redeem Avios from your account and will be required to update your details before you proceed.
We are no longer supporting these services through our ticketing offices and contact centres.
Effective from 27 May 2018, we will be making changes to redemption levels for award tickets and upgrades, Qpoints earnings as well as Buy, Gift and Transfer allowances. Please click on the below tabs to find out more.

To make updates to the above areas in your profile, simply login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and go to the “My profile” page to make the necessary edits. Please note that changes to First Name, Middle Name and Last Name are not allowed. As such it is important that these details are correct at the time of joining.

To redeem award ticket(s) on Qatar Airways flights using your Avios, log in to your account and request your redemption booking from the "Redeem Avios and Qcredits" page on your Dashboard. You can also contact our Member Services through the ‘Write to us’ page in your logged in area with details of your redemption request.
Please note that award ticket(s) can only be issued for travel 48 hours (2 days) from the date of booking. For example if you are making a booking today, your earliest travel date will be 2 days from today.

To redeem award ticket(s) on partner airlines using your Avios, log in to your account and request your redemption booking from the "Redeem Avios and Qcredts" page on your Dashboard. You can also contact our Member Services through the ‘Write to us’ page in your logged in area with details of your redemption request.
Please ensure you submit your request minimum 96 hours (4 days) prior to your intended date of travel.

To make upgrades on Qatar Airways, login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and go to the “Redeem on Qatar Airways” section on your Dashboard to make an upgrade.
You will be able to pay using your Avios or Qcredits. If any taxes or other fees are required you will also be able to make the payment online.
Please note that to make upgrades you need to have a valid mobile number registered in your account where we can send your OTP (One Time Password). Without this, you will be unable to proceed.

Effective 4th September 2018, changes are permitted with applicable change fees to all unutilized or partly utilized award tickets on Qatar Airways and partner airlines1.
For changes on award tickets, no additional Avios will be collected irrespective of the date of issue. For promotional tickets, changes are permitted within the offer period. For changes done after the offer period, difference in Avios will apply. Other tax difference (if any) will also be applicable.
1 For unutilized & partially used ticket, change of route within same region is permitted. For one-way travel: Only destination within the same region can be changed; origin change is not permitted. For round trip: Only turnaround point, within the same region can be changed; origin change is not permitted. Please note that sector change is not permitted for partner airline bookings.
Please ensure you provide the following information:
● Ticket number(s)
● New travel date with sector (for date change requests) with 2 alternate dates in case of no availability on preferred date.
● New destination (for sector changes within the same region)

Once your request is received we will send you an email with details of your updated ticket and how to make payment by yourself online.
Please ensure you submit your request minimum 96 hours (4 days) prior to your intended date of travel.

● Changes to a ticket upgraded using Avios or Qcredits are not permitted.
● If upgrade is done using Avios, member will have to submit the Avios refund request online and pay the cancellation fee at the CTO or call the contact centre.
● Only valid Avios will be refunded. Expired Avios are non-refundable.
● Qcredits redeemed for upgrade are non-refundable..
To nominate a family member, log in to your membership account, select "My Profile" from your dashboard menu and "My Family" from the left navigation menu. Click the "Add a Family Member" button to nominate your family member. We will need you to attach supporting documents to confirm your relationship with your nominated member.
You can also contact our Member Services through the "Write to us" page in your logged in area with details of your nomination request.

To make redemption for award ticket(s) for an unaccompanied minor, login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and contact our Member Services through the ‘Write to us’ page in your logged in area with details of your request.
Please ensure you provide the following information:
● Child’s name as it appears in the passport.
● Child’s date of birth.
● Attached copy of child’s passport.
Once your request is received we will send you an email with details of your updated ticket and how to make payment by yourself online.
Please ensure you submit your request minimum 96 hours (4 days) prior to your intended date of travel

For redemption of award ticket(s) for an unaccompanied young traveller, login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and iss your award ticket(s) from the “Redeem Avios and Qcredits” page on your Dashboard. Once done, contact our Member Services through the ‘Write to us’ page in your logged in area with details of your Unaccompanied Minor Service request.
Please ensure provide the following information along with your request:
● Child’s name as it appears in the passport.
● Child’s date of birth.
● Attach copy of child’s passport.

● Child’s name as it appears in the passport.

● Child’s date of birth.
● Attached copy of child's passport.

Ticket Office Cash If the ticketwas issued at a ticket office before 11 March 2018 and you submit an online refund or request a refund through customer contact center;
- Tickets will be cancelled
- Member still needs to submit an online refund request
- Cancellation penalty will be added from the ticket refund in the system
- Avios will be credited to member's account
- A confirmation email will be sent to member when refund process is completed
If the ticket was issued at ticket office before 11 March 2018 and you submit an online refund or request a refund through customer contact center;
- Contact center or ticket office will cancel the booking and collect the cancellation fee
- You still need to submit an online refund request
- When the cancellation fee is received, Avios will be credited back to your account
- A confirmation email will be sent to you when refund process is completed
Ticket Office Cash If the ticket was issued at a ticket office before 11 March 2018 and you request for a refund through a ticket office;
- Tickets will be cancelled
- You still need to submit an online refund request
- You will be informed by member service team to collect the balance TAX in cash from the ticket office where the ticket was issued
- Avios will be credited back to your account
- A confirmation email will be sent to you when refund process is completed
If the was ticket issued at a ticket office before 11 March 2018 and you request a refund through a ticket office;
- Contact center or ticket office will cancel the booking and collect the cancellation fee
- You still need to submit an online refund request
- You then need to visit the ticket office where the ticket was issued to pay the cancellation fee
- When the cancellation fee is received, Avios will be credited back to your account
- A confirmation email will be sent to you when refund process is completed
Purchasing and transferring of Avios can only be conducted online by logging into your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and going to the “Buy, Gift, Transfer Avios” page.

Extending Avios soon to expire and revalidating already expired Avios can only be conducted online by logging into your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and going to the “Extend and Revalidate Avios” page.

To redeem for excess baggage awards you need to login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and go to the “Redeem Avios/Qcredits” page. Alternatively go to the "My Trips" tab on qatarairways.com.

To redeem for lounge passes you need to login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and go to the “Redeem Avios/Qcredits” page.

Please ensure that you quote your membership number at the time of booking or check-in when using the services of any of our non-air partners. This is so that your Avios are automatically credited to your account.
In the event that your Avios are not credited to your account please write to the partner to request for your missing Avios. To find out more about claiming missing Avios from non-air partners, please click here

To merge a duplicate account, login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and go to the ‘Write to us’ page in your logged in area with details of your merge request.

To request inheritance of Avios from a deceased member, login to your account online at qatarairways.com/privilegeclub and go to the ‘Write to us’ page in your logged in area with details of your inheritance request.

Qpoints Earning
Our Qpoints earning structure will be revised to award more Qpoints to Privilege Club members who fly in higher fare families (Saver, Value or Flex) and to farther destinations on Qatar Airways.
For example, a member who travels in Economy Flex fare on Qatar Airways from Doha to Melbourne will earn more Qpoints than a member who travels in Economy Saver fare from Doha to Melbourne.

Buy, gift and transfer Avios
To enhance your travel experience with us, we have reduced the minimum Avios balance required to be eligible for buying, gifting or transferring Avios from 3,000 to 1,000 Avios.
In addition, the maximum Avios that can be purchased, gifted or transferred per member in a year will be increased from 60,000 to 250,000 Avios.
With these enhancements you will now be able to buy, gift or transfer more Avios to your loved ones.

Award upgrade
Depending on the fare family of a paid (revenue) ticket, members will be able to enjoy award upgrades to Premium Cabin for less Avios.
For example, the amount of Avios you require for an award upgrade from Economy Flex to Business on Qatar Airways will be less, compared to Avios required when you are upgrading from Economy Saver to Business Class.

In addition, we are introducing a redemption booking fee per sector as follows:

**A sector is a portion/leg of a journey
. For example, a journey from London - Doha - Bangkok is considered as two sectors.
● Booking fee is not applicable for changes on award bookings on Qatar Airways and partner airlines.
● Booking fee is non-refundable and excludes taxes as well as surcharges
