  • Roaming charges can be very expensive so it’s worth purchasing a UK SIM card. These can be bought directly from mobile providers or from most large newsagents.
  • Manchester City Council provides two Wi-Fi networks around the city. Busybee is available in public buildings and is completely free, while _Freebee is available outside and is free for the first half-hour and then for a fee of £3 for the rest of the day.
  •  Manchester has an excellent public transport network made up of trams and buses, making it easy to get around. Taxis are easily available too, with both licenced black cabs as well as pre-bookable services such as Uber. If your business is taking you out of the city centre into the Greater Manchester area, it may be advisable to rent a car, with most major providers available at the airport and around the city.
  • For luxury hotels, Manchester has many options, with most big international chains represented in the city as well as several trendy independent hotels. Many offer 4- and 5-star service and have opulent business and leisure facilities.
