What is the validity of this Stopover programme?

•The stopover programme is available for booking from 1st December 2019 through 27th December 2020, and available for travel from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020

•The programme is only available for passengers departing from the US on a return ticket, taking the stopover on their outbound leg. The stopover cannot be booked within 5 days of travel

How do passengers book the hotels during the Stopover?

•Hotels will be booked automatically for passengers once they have booked their flights. This process will take up to two working days. In case a hotel voucher has not been received in this time, passengers should contact DQ on: dqinfo@qatarairways.com.qa

Does the Stopover hotel stay include airport transfers, meals or other benefits?

•The stopover hotel is booked on a room-only basis and does not include breakfast, transfers or other incidental charges (e.g. minibar, laundry etc.)

How can passengers get to their hotel?

•Passengers can book transfers on the airport website, or can book a journey via Uber. Uber is easy-to-use in Qatar; a journey from HIA to Central Doha (West Bay) should cost around 15 USD

How many rooms will be booked for my travelling party?

•Room occupancy is based on the following:

Which hotels are available to book with the this Stopover programme?

•A 5* hotel will be booked automatically for the customer. The customer is unable to choose their hotel, but can expect a hotel of comparable quality to the Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha

Can passengers book hotel without a visa?

•A visa is not required to book the stopover, but a valid visa is required to enter the country.

•Nationals from a total of 80 countries can now take advantage of visa-free entry into Qatar. Entry into Qatar will be at the discretion of the immigration authorities.

•Discover Qatar and Qatar Airways are not responsible for the decision taken by the immigration authorities, and are not liable in the event entry is not permitted upon arrival, in spite of a hotel booking

What other services are available to passengers during the stay?

•Passengers are able to book a variety of excursions and tours on the Discover Qatar website. These are not included in the complimentary stopover offering.

Can passengers change or cancel Qatar Stopover hotels?

•If a passengers changes their flight onto an itinerary without a stopover, the hotel will be automatically cancelled.

•If a passenger does not change their flight, but would like to cancel their hotel, they should contact dqinfo@qatarairways.com.qa

What is the check-in procedure at the hotel?

•Passengers should present their hotel voucher, passport and Qatar Airways boarding pass when checking into their hotel. Hotel stays are for 24 hours.

Can passengers access this offer if they book through their travel agent or any other booking channel?

•Yes. Agents are able to construct and book an itinerary with this stopover offering. All aspects of the stopover (including terms and conditions) remain the same

What time is check-in and check-out at the hotel?

•Check-in/out will be provided on a 24-hour basis.

What happens if a passengers flight into Doha is cancelled?

•Passengers should rebook onto a new flight, via the normal process. If their new itinerary does not include a stopover option, they will forgo their hotel booking. They will not face any incremental charge from the hotel no-show.

What happens if a passengers flight into Doha is delayed?

•The hotel booking will remain and passengers can enjoy a shortened stay in Doha. In case of longer delays (but less than 24 hours), passengers can forgo their stopover, not leave HIA, and continue their connection. If passengers miss their onward connection due to delay, passengers should be rebooked as per normal fare rules

Can a passenger wants to extend their stopover, whilst they are in Doha?

•Passengers may rebook onto a later onward flight, subject to the fare rules of their Qatar Airways ticket. The hotel, provided as part of the stopover offering, is only for 1 night and thus passengers will be required to check-out after 24 hours. Passengers can book accommodation for further nights in Qatar on the DQ website (at their own cost)

What happens if a passenger's flight out of Doha is cancelled?

•Passengers should rebook onto a new flight, via the normal process. Their complimentary stopover hotel stay will be not be extended.

What happens if a passenger's flight out of Doha is delayed?

•The complimentary stopover hotel stay will not be extended beyond the free 1 night. Passengers should await updates on their flight from Qatar Airways, and ensure they are at HIA with sufficient time.

What should a passenger do if they do not receive a confirmation email?

•They should contact DQ on dqinfo@qatarairways.com.qa or call on: +4423 7999 (Qatar number)

If the customer changed his flight to another date with a stopover, will the hotel booking change automatically?

•Yes, the hotel booking will be changed automatically. Note, if a customer tries to change to a flight within 5 days of travel, they will no longer be able to select the flight itinerary that includes the stopover option.

Are there any charges for the hotel booking date change? Will the customer be charged for change fees of both Flight tickets as well as the Hotel?

•There are no change fees associated with hotel changes. Flight change fees remain, according to the relevant fare rules

What will happen in case of a schedule change from the airline ? will QR rebook the hotel for free.

•In cases of schedule changes, the proposed option to the customer will not include a stopover. If the passengers still wishes to have a stopover, they can use their FOC to do this.

•

If schedule change happened and customers stopover becomes less than 24 hours, will the hotel booking get canceled?

•If the stopover becomes less than 24 hours, the stopover will no longer be eligible for a hotel. The customer will receive a hotel cancellation confirmation. Following the schedule change, they will be able to use a FOC to change their flight to select an itinerary with an eligible stopover

If the customer contact DQ to cancel the booking, can the customer reinstate the booking later?

•In cases where the customer chooses to cancel their hotel, and makes no change to their flight, they are able to reinstate their hotel booking. They must do this 5 days prior to travel, and can do so by contacting DQ on dqinfo@qatarairways.com.qa

The customer must collect all his baggage at Doha? What if the customer is not willing to take the bags?

•As the stopover will be greater than 24 hours, passengers must collect their bags from the carousel.

•

Can a passenger choose to book a stopover for their inbound leg?

•No, for this current stopover product (with complimentary hotel), it is only possible to book a stopover on the outbound journey

Are visitors allowed in the hotel?

•Visitor requests are subject to Qatari law. In most cases, 1 or 2 visitors are allowed in the hotel

What room type will a customer be provided?

•Rooms will typically be a Deluxe Double Room (or Single Room, in cases of single passengers). Customers can request an alternative room type (e.g. Twin Room) at hotel check-in, subject to availability
