Earn Qpoints
Qpoints are awarded to help you upgrade or renew your Privilege Club membership tier.
Qpoints are earned for the following flights:
- Any flight marketed* and operated** by Qatar Airways.
- Any flight marketed* and operated** by any oneworld member airline.
The number of Qpoints you earn depends on your travel sector, the airline you are flying with and the fare you pay (booking class). To find out how many Qpoints you are due to earn on a specific flight, please use My Calculator.

In addition to the above tier qualification and retention criteria, you will need to have earned at least 20% of your Qpoints or have flown 4 sectors (within 12 months prior to retention) or 8 sectors (within 24 months prior to retention) on flights either marketed* or operated** by Qatar Airways.
*Marketed refers to the airline whose flight number is specified on your booking.
**Operated refers to the airline you are flying with.
How to earn Qpoints
Qpoints are awarded to help you upgrade or renew your Privilege Club membership tier. Qpoints are earned for any flights with Qatar Airways or with any oneworld member airline.
Qpoints earned within any 12-month period determine if you qualify for a tier-upgrade. Qpoints are evaluated daily, and members who have achieved the required Qpoints threshold will be upgraded. So, you can be eligible for an upgrade any time throughout the year. The more Qpoints you earn, the higher your membership tier in Privilege Club.
At the time of your tier renewal, our tier renewal criteria will consider your flights during the last 12 or 24 months (prior to renewal date) to assess if you are eligible for retaining your tier, making tier renewal a lot more seamless.
Terms and conditions
- Information on how to claim the Qpoints forms part of these terms and conditions. An eligible purchase in the “Qpoints on Qatar Duty Free” promotion (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- The Promotion is conducted by Qatar Airways Group Q.C.S.C, through its Privilege Club (the Promoter)
- The Promotion commences 12:01am, (AST) on [25 June 2023] and continues until withdrawn by the Promoter (Promotion Period).
- Eligible participants are Qatar Airways Privilege Club members at the time of an eligible transaction, who hold an unsuspended account (Eligible Participants).
- Entry is not open to family members of Eligible Participants on the same Privilege Club membership or to Beyond Business membership holders.
- Eligible Participants will earn 1 Qpoint (Bonus Points) for every US$ 100 (excluding taxes) spent on eligible Qatar Duty Free purchases within a 24-hour period (Eligible Purchase) if they:
- make an Eligible Purchase during the Promotion Period;
- provide their membership number at the time of purchase;
- present their digital Privilege Club membership card or boarding pass (required for purchases at Hamad International Airport) or a duly signed photo ID (for purchases at Oryx Galleria).
- Participant’s name on boarding pass/photo ID must match with the name on Privilege Club membership card. Alternatively, Participant can present just the boarding pass, provided they’ve added their Privilege Club membership number into the flight booking at the time of reservation or presented their Privilege Club membership card (digital/plastic) at the time of check-in.
- Eligible Participants may make multiple purchases at Qatar Duty Free outlets.
- Bonus Qpoints will be credited to the Eligible Participant’s Privilege Club account within 30 days after the purchase has been completed.
- Bonus Qpoints will count towards the tier qualification criteria of the Eligible Participant member.
- Eligible Participants may earn up to 600 Qpoints from non-airline activities within their Tier Year.
Tier Year means the 12 months period starting from:
a) the Eligible Participant’s elevation to the relevant Membership Tier (as that term is defined in the Privilege Club terms and conditions) ; or
b) any subsequent renewal of the Membership Tier.
- In case of missing transactions, Eligible Participants must submit their claim directly to Qatar Duty Free within six (6) months of the date of the transaction unless the Promoter informs the Eligible Participant otherwise. The eligibility of the transaction will be determined by the Promoter for processing accordingly.
- The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend this Promotion at any time and without any prior notice or liability.
- The Promoter’s decision is final in relation to the Promotion and no correspondence will be entered into.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Eligible Participant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Eligible Participant.
- All other Privilege Club terms and conditions apply.

- Bonus Qpoints will be credited to the Eligible Participant’s Privilege Club account within 30 days after the package has been fully utilized.
- Bonus Qpoints will count towards the tier qualification criteria of the Eligible Participant member.
- Eligible Participants may earn up to 600 Qpoints from non-airline activities within their Tier Year.
- Tier Year means the 12 months period starting from:
