QATAR AIRWAYS INCREASES CAPACITY ON DUBAI, ABU DHABI AND DAMMAM ROUTES

DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Airways is increasing its capacity to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Dammam with extra wide-body A330s, B787s and B777s commencing services to Abu Dhabi as of 1 November and Dubai and Dammam from 1 December.


Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are pleased to announce that we will be upgrading a number of our aircraft to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Dammam to satisfy increasing passenger demand for our award-winning services. As business and leisure travel to, within, and through the Middle East region increases, more and more travellers expect a premium product and services, and with our latest aircraft and our premium offering, Qatar Airways is perfectly equipped to cater for that demand.’’


Qatar Airways’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner provides passengers with the very latest in-flight experience, with Business Class passengers enjoying 80-inch fully flat beds, 17-inch television screens, and the airline’s five-star food and beverage service, which is served dine-on-demand in a beautifully designed cabin. Similarly, Economy Class passengers can relax and enjoy up to 2,000 entertainment options on the 10.6-inch in-flight TV entertainment systems and relax in one of the most spacious cabins in the sky.


Qatar Airways has expanded rapidly during its 18 years of operation and today serves 152 destinations around the world with a 170-strong fleet of modern, state-of-the-art aircraft including the A350 for which it was the global launch customer.


Based at Hamad International Airport, Qatar Airways provides quick and convenient onward connections for passengers to key business and leisure destinations across the airline’s ever-expanding global network, including those in Asia, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and Africa, North and South America and Europe.


This year, Qatar Airways has launched new services to Amsterdam in the Netherlands; Zanzibar in Tanzania; Faisalabad, Sialkot and Multan in Pakistan, and Abha in Saudi Arabia. In the pipeline before the end of this year are Durban in South Africa and Nagpur in India.


Beginning in  2016, Qatar Airways is also launching flights to three new US destinations – Los Angeles, Boston and Atlanta, two new destinations in Australia – Sydney and Adelaide, Birmingham in the UK, and also Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.


Upgraded capacity daily flights between Doha (DOH) and Abu Dhabi (AUH) starting from 1 November:


Depart Doha QR1040 at 23:55hrs. Arrives ABU DHABI at 02:05+1 hrs
Depart Abu Dhabi QR1041 at 06:25 hrs. Arrives Doha at 06:40 hrs



Upgraded capacity flights between Doha (DOH) and Dubai (DXB) starting from 1 December:


Depart Doha QR1018 at 19:00hrs. Arrives Dubai at 21:10hrs
Depart Dubai QR1019 at 22:30hrs. Arrives Doha at 22:40hrs



Upgraded capacity daily flights between Doha (DOH) and Dammam (DMM) starting from 1 December:


Depart Doha QR1150 at 08:35hrs. Arrives Dammam at 09:35hrs
Depart Dammam QR1151 at 10:35hrs. Arrives Doha at 11:35hrs
