Auckland International airport is the largest and busiest commercial and passenger hub in New Zealand, serving over nine million international and seven and a half million domestic passengers every year.

Few cities capture the imagination like Paris, and after a short time in the French capital you’ll discover how it earned such a reputation for style.

Fly to Paris and immerse yourself in its romantic image and France’s continued prominence on the international stage, means this vibrant city will remain on many a bucket list.

From headline attractions like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe to the smallest boutiques and boulangeries, Paris presents a feast for the senses. Book a flight ticket to Paris with Qatar Airways, and explore continental Europe’s ‘City of Light.’

Flying from Chongqing

One of southwest China’s biggest transport hubs, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has ambitions to become China’s largest airport by 2030 and is currently undergoing a period of rapid expansion. In 2014 it was voted Best Airport in the 25–40 Million Passenger Size by the Airports Council, and is popular with both leisure and business travellers.

Its continued growth makes it an ideal exit point for anyone travelling from Western China, and passengers flying from Chongqing with Qatar Airways will be impressed with the excellent standard of service, the professional staff and the high-quality facilities that make flying from Chongqing a real pleasure.

Transportation and parking

As the airport expands, its ground transportation is also developing quickly. Four highways designed to feed into the airport are currently under construction, as well as additional plans to build more dedicated train stations to serve the airport. Currently, bus connections from the centre of the city provide a free early morning service if your flight is before 8 a.m. Taxis are plentiful and can be booked by your concierge, or Subway Line 3 can take you straight to the station, with the exit to the terminals in the parking lot close to Terminal 2.

There are currently three parking areas, an international (outdoor) lot in front of Terminal 1, a domestic (outdoor) parking area in front of Terminal 2, and an underground indoor parking area under Terminal 2. There is currently enough space for up to 2,300 cars, with a multi-storey, 5,000-space car park planned soon.

Arriving at the airport

Passengers flying from Chongqing with Qatar Airways depart from Terminal 1. This is the dedicated international terminal, and is well laid out with plenty of check-in desks and security control points. The process is very efficient, but it is important to have all your paperwork in order before arriving.

VIP and business class lounges are close to Boarding Gate B25, while a public lounge is available for passengers. Allow approximately one and a half hours before your flight is due to board to check in and pass through security checks.

Facilities and amenities

The airport's First Class lounge has a buffet area, internet access area as well as other facilities, while there are plenty of coffee shops and snack vendors for hot drinks and light refreshments.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the International Departures terminal, and there are also plenty of ATMs and currency exchange points. An extensive retail sector provides travellers with everything they need, including any last-minute gifts from Duty Free shops, and some local crafts, jewellery and produce.
