Silver, Gold and Platinum members can buy Qpoints to retain their tier with any Qpoints balance.
Here’s how many Qpoints can be purchased by members in each tier, between 8 September and 15 September 2024:

Example: Ryan is a Platinum member and would like to retain his tier. He can buy up to 540 Qpoints no matter what his current Qpoints balance is.

Burgundy, Silver and Gold members can buy Qpoints to upgrade their tier if they have the minimum Qpoints balance required.
Here’s how many Qpoints are needed and how many can be purchased by members in each tier, between 8 September and 15 September 2024:

Example: Ryan is a Gold member and would like to upgrade to Platinum. If he has a balance of at least 200 Qpoints, he can buy up to 400 Qpoints to upgrade.

Additional criteria for tier upgrade and retentionTo get to the next tier or retain your tier, you must collect the required number of Qpoints and meet the following criteria:
1. Earn at least 20% of your Qpoints within a 12-month period on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways.
2. Take at least four flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways within 12 months before tier upgrade or retention, or at least eight flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways within 24 months before tier upgrade or retention.
When your flight is marketed and operated by Qatar Airways, a Qatar Airways flight number will appear on your booking and you will fly with us.

- Qpoints purchased are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Qpoints can only be purchased online.

- Buying Qpoints will be part of the activity that must be completed within a 12-month period, to retain or upgrade your tier.
