Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport offers a modern and efficient start to your journey. As a major transport hub for both passengers and cargo, you will find the ultra-modern terminal designed for your comfort and convenience.
When planning your departure, note that getting to the airport is easy. Regulated, official airport taxis will deliver you directly to the main terminal entrance. Alternatively, local buses stop at the airport roundabout, just a kilometre from the terminal building. If you are driving, short and long-term parking is available with 2,350 spaces, managed 24 hours a day.
Inside the terminal, you will find helpful staff and ample facilities. The main building connects the East Wing (gates 1–12) and the West Wing (gates 13–23). Qatar Airways passengers with premium tickets can enjoy the Cedar Lounge, situated on the third level, which offers a business centre and self-service cafeteria. Across the main terminal area, you can utilise services like banks, a post office, prayer rooms, a tourist information centre or enjoy shopping at the duty free shops, available once you have cleared immigration.
The Maldives is a tropical destination boasting crystal-clear oceans and powder-soft white sand. Moving between the islands is an experience in itself. Take a speedboat or scenic seaplane to reach your chosen location, as the archipelago is made up of over 1,100 stunning coral islands.
The main attraction of the Maldives is the natural environment, where the rhythm of life is dictated by the ocean. Beneath the surface, a vibrant world awaits. Explore the colourful coral reefs through world-class diving and snorkelling, and admire a rich tapestry of aquatic life. This is the ultimate escape if you're seeking serenity in the Indian Ocean.
If you wish to go beyond the resorts, take a water taxi to the nation's capital, Malé. Here, you can taste a slice of authentic Maldivian culture away from the idyllic resorts. Wander around local markets or spoil yourself at a variety of other shopping outlets. Remember to stop by the historic Old Friday Mosque, one of the most important structures in the capital.
