Alternatively, local buses stop at the airport roundabout, just a kilometre from the terminal building. If you are driving, short and long-term parking is available with 2,350 spaces, managed 24 hours a day.
Inside the terminal, you will find helpful staff and ample facilities. The main building connects the East Wing (gates 1–12) and the West Wing (gates 13–23). Qatar Airways passengers with premium tickets can enjoy the Cedar Lounge, situated on the third level, which offers a business centre and self-service cafeteria. Across the main terminal area, you can utilise services like banks, a post office, prayer rooms, a tourist information centre or enjoy shopping at the duty free shops, available once you have cleared immigration.
Madrid is Spain's energetic capital, a major centre of European culture, art, music and dance.
Discover the city's cosmopolitan vibe and rich artistic heritage. Madrid is famous for its world-class art collections, including the renowned "Museum Triangle" which houses some of the most important galleries in Europe. At the very heart of the city, Puerta del Sol is a bustling piazza and the central transport hub that hosts many public festivals throughout the year. The surrounding architecture showcases a superb blend of Moorish, Renaissance and Gothic influences. Be sure to explore the vast Palacio Real, or Royal Palace, which, while the official residence of the King, is now mainly used for ceremonial duties. A tour through its magnificent galleries will give you a deeper understanding of centuries of Spanish history.
