Parking and transportation
Ground transport covers the entire area, which is just as well as the airport is huge and the distances between terminals are considerable. The airport is situated on the Grand Southern Trunk Road (National Highway 45), so drivers have easy access to the airport from the city. It is also served by Tirusulam railway station on the Suburban railway network.
Prepaid taxis are available 24/7, and fees are fixed by the government. A proposed Metro Rail System should connect the airport with other important places in Chennai, once construction is complete. Limited car parking (1000 spaces) at the Anna International terminal is available.
