Book flights from Dubai to Maldives with Qatar Airways

Flying from Dubai

Dubai International Airport is the second-busiest in the world, and the main air transport hub in the Middle East.   The airport is an architecturally-striking building that ensures passengers have everything they need to make their journey as comfortable as possible.

Flights from Dubai with Qatar Airways take you from this incredibly busy international hub to destinations all over the world.

Transportation and parking

Short-term car parks are situated just a few metres from the terminal’s entrance, while longer-term parking is accessible in a nearby location. Public buses are available to take passengers from long-term parking facilities to the main terminals.

The clean and efficient Metro trains run roughly every 10 minutes to and from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and there are plenty of taxis available. Drop-off points are located outside the main terminal entrances.

Buses arrive and leave from stands opposite Terminal 1, 2 and 3, but you will need to buy a Nol card in advance as the drivers do not take cash.

Arriving at Dubai International Airport

Qatar Airways flights from Dubai depart from Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport. However, Qatar Airways also flies from the new Dubai World Central Airport, so it is important to check which departure point your flight is leaving from.

To save time, visitors from countries that are granted automatic visas on entry to Dubai may find it useful to purchase an E-gate card to speed up immigration formalities. The E-gate card office is situated in the upstairs food court area of the Terminal 1 departures concourse.

Facilities and amenities

A 30-minute free Wi-Fi service is available for passengers, and longer access to the network is available for a small charge.

A comprehensive business centre offers a wide range of corporate services, and there are plenty of other facilities on offer including prayer rooms, baby care rooms, banks and medical services.

An excellent selection of retail outlets provide you with everything you could want from luxury leather goods to books and perfumes, while a choice of cafés and restaurants serve international cuisine, quick snacks and coffee.

You can be in one of the most beautiful parts in the world, with regular flights from Dubai to Male with Qatar Airways taking you there in style and comfort. You’ll enjoy delicious in-flight cuisine, ample seating space, thousands of in-flight entertainment options and award-winning services that make all the difference to air travel, so that you arrive in this island paradise refreshed and relaxed.

Male is a city and islet, surrounded by water and intersected with lagoons. The Maldivian capital has so many natural beauties that it can be difficult to decide what to see first. The narrow streets and bright, colourful houses are a joy to explore, and when you’re not relaxing on the sandy beaches you’ll love the city’s plush restaurants and opportunities for shopping. Craft items are a particularly big attraction here.

Arriving in Maldives

Arriving in Hulhulé after a flight to the Maldives with Qatar Airways, the first thing that will strike you is that this genuinely is a tropical island paradise.

Largely unknown among tourists until the 1970s, the Maldives are today one of the top luxury destinations in the world. Crystal clear oceans, white sandy beaches and swaying palm trees – the Maldives are the epitome of a tropical holiday destination.

The collection of over 1,100 coral islands means that the most common method of transport is by boat or seaplane. Island hopping is a great way to experience the delights above water.

Under the waves there is a second paradise waiting to be explored, and the Maldives offers some of the best diving and snorkelling in the world.

Tourist attractions

The Maldives is different to many destinations in that there are relatively few attractions to visit on land. The main attractions of the islands are natural, rather than man-made, so to discover the very best of the islands’ riches you will need to don a swimsuit and head out with one of the many diving parties to explore the coral reefs.

Filled with brilliantly coloured fish and a wealth of natural wonders, the waters of the Maldives offer a rich tapestry of aquatic colour and beauty.

If you’re not a swimmer or prefer to stay on dry land then a visit to the nation’s capital island of Malé for some casual shopping and to see the ‘real’ Maldives away from the custom-made resorts of the islands.

Travel Considerations

Flights to the Maldives with Qatar Airways land at Malé International Airport. Visa restrictions for entry into the country will depend on your country of origin, length of stay and whether your trip is for business or pleasure. Before you fly to the Maldives please check the visa and passport requirements.
