Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport offers a pleasant and efficient start to your journey, blending modern convenience with traditional Iranian hospitality. This busy air hub is located approximately 30km south of Tehran and is currently undergoing substantial redevelopment, including plans for a new airport hotel and a Tehran metro extension.
To reach the airport, taxis and hire cars are the primary transport options. The taxi journey time is around 90 minutes, depending on traffic. Shuttle buses connect the airport to the nearest metro station and Mehrabad International Airport. If you are driving, follow the Tehran-Qom Freeway (Route 7). Short-term parking is available next to the terminal, and a regular free shuttle runs from the long-term car parks (2 and 3).
Once inside, you will find the well-laid out Terminal 1 easy to navigate. Free Wi-Fi is available in the Departure lounge. Banks and currency exchange facilities are on hand, but remember credit cards are not widely accepted in Iran. Retail outlets sell locally-produced Iranian goods, and a duty-free shop is available. Before boarding, why not try a selection of traditional Persian dishes, coffee or light snacks at the popular restaurant?
Ho Chi Minh City, still affectionately known as Saigon, is Vietnam’s most dynamic and economically vital metropolis, offering an electrifying fusion of French colonial history and relentless, modern momentum.

Here you will find international brands next to historical landmarks like the Central Post Office. You can shop for local specialities and textiles at the iconic Bến Thành Market, or delve into the country's profound past at the Reunification Palace. The city is celebrated as Vietnam's culinary capital, so be sure to try the legendary street food available on every corner, from a perfect bowl of "phở " to the southern-style savoury pancake, "bánh xèo".
