Begin your journey relaxed at Goa International Airport (Dabolim Airport), an efficient and professional hub reflecting the region's easy-going atmosphere. Planning your departure is straightforward: the airport is about 45 minutes by car from Panaji, or you can take a pre-booked taxi, which is recommended, especially with luggage. The nearest railway station is in Vasco da Gama, about five kilometres away. Limited parking for 400 vehicles is available outside the main terminal.
You will depart from Terminal 2. For a smooth experience, ensure you allow at least an hour and a half for processing, although the airport’s 75 check-in counters and security checks are highly efficient. While you wait, you can access paid-for Wi-Fi, which is complimentary for Business and First Class passengers in the VIP lounge. For refreshments, snack bars and a restaurant in the domestic terminal area offer light and more substantial meals. You can also browse the Duty Free outlets and other retail vendors for travel essentials and souvenirs before you board your flight.
Hamburg is Germany’s second-largest city and a dynamic urban centre. This destination merges global commerce with rich culture, and is defined by its unique maritime character. With more bridges than Amsterdam and Venice combined, its waterways create a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Begin your adventure at the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt, the world's largest historic warehouse district. Wander through this stunning area where Neo-Gothic red-brick buildings are set on oak piles and reflected in the canals. It was once a hub for trading spices and oriental carpets, and now hosts unique attractions like the Miniatur Wunderland.
Contrast this history with the cutting-edge architecture of HafenCity, Hamburg’s urban regeneration project. For a memorable view, be sure to visit the public plaza on the sixth floor of the magnificent Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
