For refreshments, snack bars and a restaurant in the domestic terminal area offer light and more substantial meals. You can also browse the Duty Free outlets and other retail vendors for travel essentials and souvenirs before you board your flight.
Bucharest is the vibrant capital of Romania, known for its elegant architecture and dynamic, forward-looking energy. You will find a fascinating European city that perfectly blends a rich history with contemporary urban development.
Discover the city’s heart in the Old Centre, or Lipscani, where narrow, cobbled streets lead you past elegant 19th-century façades and the historic ruins of the medieval court of the Wallachian princes. This district is perfect for exploring the city's unique character. For a sense of Romania's cultural heritage, explore the Village Museum, a large open-air complex showcasing around 300 traditional buildings from every region of the country, providing a wonderful insight into traditional Romanian life. Be sure to visit the massive Parliament Palace, located near Piaţa Unirii, which is one of the world’s largest administrative buildings and a truly imposing sight in the city centre.
