Allama Iqbal International Airport offers a smooth start to your worldwide journey, serving as Pakistan’s second-largest civil airport. Located about 15 miles from central Lahore, you can easily reach the airport via local buses or taxis; booking a taxi in advance through your accommodation is recommended, particularly if you have heavy luggage. Due to busy traffic and tight airport security, allow at least two hours before your scheduled departure time to complete check-in and security procedures smoothly. Short and long-term parking are available close to the terminal.
Once inside the main passenger terminal’s Departures area, you will find 32 upgraded check-in desks. As you wait for your flight, you can enjoy a variety of amenities. Passengers can relax in multiple lounge areas, including a VIP lounge for first and business class travellers, or in the spacious international Departures lounge, which accommodates up to 1,200 people. Retail outlets offer a selection of goods, accessories, local souvenirs, and Duty Free shopping. You can also find high quality light refreshments, snacks, and drinks, including a speciality Pakistani sweets vendor, and benefit from free Wi-Fi throughout the airport. Special assistance is also readily available for disabled passengers.
