Flying from Addis Ababa
Bole International Airport serves the country of Ethiopia, providing a busy and modern international air hub that connects with destinations around the world. Formerly known (and still referred to by some taxi drivers) as Haile Selassie I International Airport, its recent regeneration has increased its capacity for both cargo and passenger flights.

Transportation and parking
Minibuses head to and from the airport from Bole Dild minibus station, located under the flyover opposite the terminal. Shuttle services to and from the airport are also offered by most major hotels, and on-order limousines are also available. Additionally, a large car park is located conveniently close to the terminals, providing both short- and long-term accommodation for vehicles.
At the airport
Customers flying from Addis Ababa with Qatar Airways depart from Terminal 2, one of Africa’s largest international passenger terminals. Because of the sheer size of the terminal, as well as strict security checks for all international flights, it is advisable to allow at least two hours before your flight is due to depart to check-in and clear security checks.
