DOHA - More than 30,000 aviation industry experts will have an opportunity to see first-hand the world-class features of Qatar Airways, when the airline attends the 8th International Aerospace Event, held in Dubai on December 7 -11, 2003.
Qatar Airways' Chief Executive Officer Mr. Akbar Al Baker, who will be leading a delegation of Qatar Airways' officials to take part in the event, commented:
"Qatar Airways will be showcasing the services and products that have made it one of the leaders in airline standards. We will be exhibiting two of our aircraft during the event.
"On December 7, 8,and 9 we will be showing our luxurious Airbus A330, and on December 10 and 11 we will have our A319 Corporate Jet at the show.
"The A330 that will be exhibited at the airshow will be in a three-class configuration, to give visitors an insight into the spacious comfort available on board our largest aircraft.
"The A330 is used on our London, Far East and intra-Gulf destinations to give passengers maximum comfort.
"The A319 corporate jet is one of two A319s in our fleet. We have one long-haul jet and one corporate jet.
"The corporate jet on show is a comfortable luxury airliner with 38 seats, which includes 12 "Super First" flat bed seats, laid out in lounge style. The remaining 26 seats are "Excellent Business" sleeper seats.
"This aircraft is available for wet-lease and charter upon request.
"The Dubai Airshow is an event visited by representatives from all sectors of the aviation world, and gives us the opportunity to show world why Qatar Airways is one of the leaders in airline services," he said.
Qatar Airways has a 46 square metre stand in the giant, purpose-built exhibition centre. The stand comprises of a reception area, a VIP section, seating and tables arranged for business meetings and a large plasma screen, running videos about the airline.
Qatar Airways presently has a fleet of 29 Airbus aircraft that includes: five A330s, 12 A320s, nine A300s, one A300 cargo freighter, and two A319 Corporate Jetliners.
Three leased A320s will be retired from the Qatar Airways fleet during 2004.
