Important information
This exclusive offer is applicable to all passengers named and listed on the booking itinerary. The upgrade is only valid for the specific flight number(s) and date mentioned and may not be applicable to the entire itinerary. You can only purchase this one-time offer using one of the payment methods available online.
All passengers in the booking must purchase the upgrade. It is not permitted to purchase upgrades for specific passengers selectively within the booking. This offer to upgrade select itineraries within the booking is non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferrable. Mileage credit will be earned/accrued based on the original ticketed booking class and not the upgraded booking class of travel. If you have other Qatar Airways flights indicated on the booking not included in the offer, it will remain in the same class of service as originally booked. Please refer to the terms and conditions for further details. This offer is only applicable to the flight(s) specified above and does not include access to premium lounges or additional baggage allowance unless otherwise specified in the offer..
Terms and conditions
- You must be at least 21 years of age and able to enter into binding contracts. You shall be deemed to have the authority to act on behalf of and to bind the person or persons named or included on the offer to these terms and conditions.
- The upgrade offer is only applicable to the specific flight mentioned in the offer. If there are other flights within the booking not included in the offer, these will remain in the original booking class.
- This upgrade offer is subject to availability at the time of purchase and ticketing. Seat availability is not reserved or guaranteed until the upgrade has been purchased and ticketed. Qatar Airways reserves the right to amend, limit or revoke the upgrade offer at any time prior to purchase and ticketing.
- If the upgrade offer was received through notification (email/mobile app), it must be purchased within the stipulated time mentioned in the offer and through the link provided. Qatar Airways reserves the right to void the offer and reject the purchase after the given time limit. If the upgrade offer was received through email, the upgrade can only be purchased using the link provided in the email offer and to be paid using any one of the following credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club).
- Qatar Airways accepts no responsibility for any online technical issues resulting in the failure to accept and pay for an upgrade within the time limit.
- Avios/Qpoints earned or accrued on the Qatar Airways Privilege Club programme will be based on the original cabin of service/booking class, not the upgraded cabin/booking class.
- Miles earned or accrued by members of our partner airlines programmes in their respective frequent flyer programmes will be based on the original cabin of service/booking class, not the upgraded cabin/booking class.
- All passengers on the booking must purchase the upgrade. It is not permitted to purchase for a specific passenger within the booking.
- The quoted offer amount for an upgrade includes all applicable taxes and fees.
- This upgrade offer is non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferrable. The fare conditions associated with the original ticket purchased remains the same even after purchasing the upgrade, including, but limited to, cancellation policies, rebooking fees, baggage allowance, lounge access and rules relating to frequent flyer miles accrual.
- Any subsequent upgrades, after using the online upgrade offer for the same flight sector and flight date, will not be allowed.
- If the upgrade offer was received through notification (email/ mobile app), after accepting the upgrade offer for the specific flight mentioned in the notification, any cabin upgrades will not be permissible for all other flight sectors (not mentioned in the offer notification) that connect to the specific upgraded flight.
- Only one cabin upgrade, to the next highest class, is permissible.
- In the event you accepted the offer and your credit card was charged by the offer amount, but the upgrade was not provided by Qatar Airways due to non-availability of the seat in the upgraded class of service, the amount paid for the upgrade will be refunded to the credit card used to pay for the upgrade.
- Checked and cabin baggage allowances follow Qatar Airways’ baggage rules for the originally booked cabin class unless otherwise specified at the time of upgrade.
- Every effort will be made to ensure original special meal requests remain. However, Qatar Airways accepts no responsibility if a special meal request is not met. Customers are advised to check any special requests for their booking via the ‘Manage a Booking’ online feature at qatarairways.com.

The “Qatar Airways Free Upgrade” promotion (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by Qatar Airways (the “Sponsor” or “Qatar Airways”), which will run from 1 October, 2019 to 7 October, 2019 (the “Promotional Period”). The prizes are as given in the prize schedule below. The promotion and prizes are subject to these Official Rules and participation in the Promotion represents unconditional acceptance of these Official Rules.
The Promotion is open to legal residents of eligible countries who are at least 21 years old as of 7 October 2019, have a valid passport at the time of participation in the Promotion. Employees, officers, directors and agents of Qatar Airways, its subsidiaries who are involved in organizing this Promotion and each of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. A ticket purchase is necessary to participate in this Promotion. Unless Sponsor decides otherwise, prizes will only be awarded after the ticket purchased during the promotional period is flown. If a ticket is cancelled or is partially cancelled for any reason, the prize may be forfeited at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Eligible countries for the Promotion are: India only
All participants must comply with these Official Rules and any applicable local laws of the eligible countries. All interpretations of these Official Rules by QATAR AIRWAYS are final. When giving an interpretation of these Official Rules, Qatar Airways will act in good faith and will exercise reasonable and equitable discretion.
This Promotion commences on 1 October, 2019 at 00:01 local time for the passenger’s point of departure and ends on 7 October, 2019 at 23:59 local time for the passenger’s point of departure (“Promotion Period”). The Promotion is carried out on the following website: www.qatarairways.com.
a. Book a Qatar Airways ticket on www.qatarairways.com during the Promotion Period. All confirmed tickets issued until the end of each day of the Promotion Period will be included in the sweepstakes on the next day. Two sweepstakes will be conducted during the Promotion Period.
b. Bookings where the ticket could not be issued for any reason whatsoever will not be included in the sweepstakes.
c. A total of Ten (10) prizes will be given away through random drawing from all eligible entries during the Promotion Period. The draw will be held on 10 October, 2019.
d. Once a potential winner has been selected, he/she will be each sent a prize announcement email using the email address provided at time of booking, subject to Winner Verification and Prize Conditions.
e. The prize redemption process will be detailed in the prize voucher.
f. If a potential winner does not meet the eligibility requirements or does not download the prize voucher within the specified time, the Sponsor reserves the right to not allow the potential winner to claim the prize.
g. The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed, or due to computer or information technology error in transit.

- Upgrade to Business Class applies for winner’s ticket bought on www.qatarairways.com.
- Valid for one (1) passenger only.
- Subject to availability, is capacity controlled and may not be available on all flights and days. This particularly applies to peak travel periods.
- Upgrade to Business Class has no cash value and is non-transferrable, non-changeable, non-refundable, and valid on Qatar Airways operated flights only.
The award of the prize is contingent upon full and unconditional compliance with these Official Rules. Each potential winner will be notified by email. The winner will be contacted via the E-mail address provided at the time of ticket purchase. Sponsor is not responsible for any errors in the communication of e-mail addresses provided by the winner. The prize must be claimed within twenty (20) days of the notification email. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or verified or the prize is returned as undeliverable, or the participant is disqualified, the potential winner forfeits the prize. An unclaimed or forfeited prize will not be awarded. Sponsor is not responsible for any undelivered emails, including but not limited to emails that are not received because of a winner’s email privacy or spam filter settings which may block or redirect any Sponsor related email, including any winner notification email or prize email to a junk, spam, or similar folder used to redirect unsolicited email or emails from unknown senders. Participants are required to check their spam settings and folders for any winner notification email from Sponsor.
No cash redemption or prize substitutions are allowed. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in Sponsor’s discretion or if a prize becomes unavailable without advance notice. Sponsor shall have no responsibility or obligation to a potential winner who is ineligible for a prize, or is unable to or who does not accept or utilize the prize awarded, for any reason whatsoever. The prize winner is responsible for any and all taxes, fees, security and passenger facility charges applicable to such prize, which may not be issued without payment for taxes and fees. The Qatar Airways Conditions of Carriage shall apply to any air travel on Qatar Airways.
For the prizes consisting of QRH Packages that include flights and/or upgrades to business class, all travel arrangements must be booked through Qatar Airways on Qatar Airways’ network only, in compliance with instructions that will be given to the prize winners. The prize tickets do not entitle the holder to any mileage credit as part of the Privilege Club program. The validity period for the prize tickets may not be extended and prize tickets may not be rebooked. The Sponsor is not liable for any expense incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay. The prize tickets will be issued as electronic tickets. Except as is contrary to applicable laws in any eligible country, travel is subject to availability and certain other restrictions, which are subject to change in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice.
The prize winners are responsible for the cost of visa(s), passport(s), and transportation to and from the specified departure city, and/or lodging expenses, meals, and other travel expenses unless stated otherwise. The prizes are non-extendable, non-transferable and non-cashable. Qatar Airways reserves the right to withhold delivery of the prize until proof of eligibility and identity has been confirmed or to disqualify a winner from the competition due to any reason as decided by the Sponsor at its discretion.
Subject to applicable laws of the eligible countries, each winner grants consent to Sponsor to use the winner’s name, voice, photograph and/or biographical data for advertising, promotional and/or publicity purposes addressed to the general public in all forms of media, including on Sponsor’s website, worldwide in connection with the Promotion in perpetuity, without any obligation or consideration or counter-part whether financial or otherwise, except for the awarding of the prize to the winner. Each winner can revoke his/her consent at any time by notifying Sponsor in writing to the address stated in Clause 16.
Information submitted in connection with the Promotion will be treated in accordance with these Official Rules and Sponsor's Privacy Policy (as may be amended from time to time), currently accessible at www.qatarairways.com/en-in/legal/privacy-policy.html
By participating, each entrant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold the Sponsor, its group companies’ members and its employees, officers, directors and agents ,harmless from and against any and all third party claims, actions or proceedings of any kind and from any and all damages, liabilities, costs and expenses relating to or arising out of any breach or alleged breach of any of the warranties, representations, requirements or agreements of entrant hereunder; or from any direct or indirect damage that may result to such third party from the use or the misuse of a given prize by the entrant subject to applicable laws of the eligible countries. Total liability of Qatar Airways towards an entrant for all claims in general arising out of or in connection with the Promotion shall be limited to the value of the prizes won by such entrant. By Participating, each entrant hereby waives all rights to seek punitive, incidental, consequential or special damages, lost profits and/or to the full extent allowed by applicable laws of the eligible countries, any and all other damages against the Sponsor or its group companies’ members, agencies and employees in excess of the value of the prizes won by such entrant. IN THE EVENT AND TO THE EXTENT THAT THE LAWS OF ANY PARTICULAR JURISDICTION PROHIBIT THE APPLICATION OF ANY OF THE TERMS OF THE OFFICIAL RULES OR STIPULATE REQUIREMENTS NOT CONTAINED IN THE OFFICIAL RULES, THEN THE SPONSOR AND PARTICIPANT AGREE THAT THE PRIZE DRAW WILL BE TREATED NULL AND VOID AB INITIO IN RESPECT OF THAT PARTICIPANT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OR LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; THEREFORE, TO THE EXTENT PARTICIPANT IS FROM SUCH JURISDICTION, THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY IN PART.
Except as otherwise expressly set out in these Official Rules, Qatar Airways and its subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, and its employees, officers, directors, and agents shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of their respective obligations that are caused by events outside of their reasonable control. Qatar Airways is not responsible if ANY PART OF THE PROMOTION IS HELD INVALID BY OPERATION OF LAW IN THE ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES OR if the Promotion terminates or any Prize cannot be used or redeemed due to acts of God, war, terrorism, explosions, fires, floods or other natural calamities, bad weather, strikes, riot, civil disruption, internet failures, or other acts of God or the winner, or for any other occurrences which are outside of Qatar Airways’ reasonable control.
If this Promotion cannot be administered as contemplated for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Promotion, winner selection, or prizes without prior notice subject to any applicable local laws in any eligible country.
a. Any dispute and/or difference arising out of, or relating to this agreement including interpretation of its terms will be resolved through joint discussion by the authorized representatives of both the parties. Moreover, if the disputes are not resolved by discussion then the matter will be referred for adjudication to the Arbitration of a Sole arbitrator.
b. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of India. The Courts in Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the subject matter of this Agreement.
c. In the event of any dispute or differences arising out of or in connection with this agreement, the parties hereto, agree to resolve their dispute by a sole arbitrator chosen by the parties in fast track procedure under the provision of Sec29B of Arbitration and Conciliation act of 1996. The award under this section shall be made within a period of 6 months from the date of commencement of the arbitral tribunal proceedings.
d. The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English. The place of Arbitration shall be Mumbai. The award passed in the arbitration proceedings shall be final and binding on both the parties.
e. The cost of arbitration proceedings shall be equally borne by both the parties.
f. Each party shall individually bear the fees of their respective Advocate/Counsel for the proceedings.
The invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability of any portion or provision of these Official Rules shall in no way affect the validity, legality, or enforceability of any other portion or provision hereof. Any invalid, illegal, or unenforceable portion or provision shall be deemed severed from these Official Rules and the balance of these Official Rules shall be construed and enforced as if the Official Rules did not contain such invalid, illegal, or unenforceable portion or provision.
