Getting to the airport is straightforward, with robust transport links available from across the city. The fast and efficient suburban rail system connects the airport to Athens Central Railway Station (Larissa Station) and the port of Piraeus. Alternatively, Metro Line 3 takes approximately 45 minutes from the city centre directly to the terminals.

If you are travelling by road, buses, coaches and taxis all service the airport, though allow ample time during Athens’ peak traffic hours. Parking is convenient, offering 7,100 spaces, including short-term P1 and P2 car parks near the Main Terminal arrivals halls, and long-term P3 spots.

Upon arrival, check in at Hall A, area 1, at least two hours before your flight to clear customs smoothly. As the airport was completed in 2001, you will find excellent, modern facilities.
