Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, known for its punctuality and efficiency, is one of Japan's major transport hubs, connecting you to destinations worldwide. When flying internationally, you will depart from the International Terminal. We recommend arriving around one hour before departure, as the check-in and security processes are exceptionally efficient, ensuring a smooth start to your journey.
Travelling to the airport is straightforward, thanks to Tokyo's excellent public transport. Direct trains run between Haneda and Narita Airport, and the airport is served by the Tokyo Monorail and the Keikyu train network. Plenty of bus routes, including the Haneda Airport Express, are available. Taxis operate on a set fare basis from central Tokyo. If you are driving, both short and long-term parking are available at each terminal; pre-booking is advised due to high demand for the approximately 3,000 spaces at the International Terminal.
Once airside, you will find excellent facilities and amenities. Enjoy browsing the dedicated shopping street for luxury goods, accessories, and electronics, alongside extensive Duty Free options. Public lounges and a private VIP lounge are available in the International Departures Area 4F. Stay connected with free and extensive Wi-Fi throughout the terminal. For dining, high-quality vendors offer Japanese and international cuisine, from quick snacks to substantial restaurant menus, catering for all tastes before your flight.
Hamburg is Germany’s second-largest city and a dynamic urban centre. This destination merges global commerce with rich culture, and is defined by its unique maritime character. With more bridges than Amsterdam and Venice combined, its waterways create a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Begin your adventure at the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt, the world's largest historic warehouse district. Wander through this stunning area where Neo-Gothic red-brick buildings are set on oak piles and reflected in the canals. It was once a hub for trading spices and oriental carpets, and now hosts unique attractions like the Miniatur Wunderland.
Contrast this history with the cutting-edge architecture of HafenCity, Hamburg’s urban regeneration project. For a memorable view, be sure to visit the public plaza on the sixth floor of the magnificent Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
