Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport, also known as Cumbica Airport, serves as Brazil’s main international gateway and a critical passenger hub due to its central location. As a modern and busy airport, you will find plenty of facilities available as you prepare for your departure.
When heading to the airport, you have several transportation options. Buses from the airport and independent operators offer extensive services. Taxis are available outside the terminals, and many hotels can organise transport for you. For parking, you can choose between two main locations: one is about 2km away with regular bus shuttle services to the terminals, and a short-stay ‘Park and Board’ car park is located just four minutes away. Note that Line 13 of Sao Paulo's suburban rail system (CPTM) is currently under construction, aiming to operate this year.
Passengers departing from Sao Paulo often utilise Terminal 3, Hall F. The open plan design of this recently revamped terminal simplifies locating check-in desks. Currency exchange facilities and ATMs are conveniently positioned throughout. For refreshments, you will find numerous cafés offering light snacks and drinks, mainly focused around the mezzanine area in Terminal 3. You can also explore a selection of retail outlets selling premium quality goods and accessories or relax in the large lounge areas before boarding. You may even be interested to know that the Tropic of Capricorn passes through the airport's southern tip.
