Doha, QATAR – Qatar Airways is pleased to support and welcome yet another fantastic sporting event to Doha this month. As the airline sponsor of the Qatar Total Open 2014, nine of the world’s top ten players on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tour will headline the 56-player draw.
The highly anticipated tournament will see all eyes on the defending champion Victoria Azarenka as she defends her reigning Qatar Total title against the current World Number One champion, Serena Williams. All of the action will be taking place on the courts of the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha between 10th and 16th February.
Launched in 2001, the Qatar Total Open was the first professional women’s tennis tournament to be staged in the Middle East and is this year set to host WTA greats such as Justine Henin, Martina Hingis and Monica Seles.
In order to share in the excitement with travellers from around the world, Qatar Airways is currently running a competition on its Facebook page to give its followers and tennis fans alike the opportunity to win an exciting array of prizes.
The contest is available in both English and Arabic on the following links respectively;
