Flying from Dammam
Surrounded by dramatic sand dunes and the vast open spaces of the Arabian Desert, Dammam Airport (known as King Fahd International Airport) is truly vast with six levels housing a huge selection of facilities, check-in desks, lounges and porter services.
Transportation and parking
The airport has a multi-storey car park attached to it. On the roof of this car park, you can find a mosque, which can be accessed from the passenger terminal through two enclosed, air-conditioned bridges and an additional open bridge.
The airport is around 50 kilometres from Dammam city centre, but is well served by frequent bus links and taxis. Carrier SAPTCO runs shuttle buses between the airport and the bus station every hour. The trip takes around 45 minutes. Taxis are available and are located in the rank outside the main entrance. A limousine service is also available.
Arriving at King Fahd International Airport
There is only one terminal at the airport, but it is vast. Departure check-in is located on Level 6, while boarding gates are on Level 4.
Facilities and amenities
King Fahd International Airport was the first in Saudi Arabia to open duty-free shops within its airport. There is a separate area dedicated to shops selling goods that passengers might find useful during their travels, and in the arrivals area you will also find plenty of cafés, restaurants and banks.
ATMs and currency exchange points are available in the departure and arrival areas. For a light meal with a view, head to the fourth floor (above check-in), where you'll find an observation deck and a café serving a buffet selection of food.

This historically and economically significant location is one of South Korea’s powerhouses, as well as being its main air transport and shipping hub. Book a flight to Incheon with Qatar Airways and whether you’re a business traveller or are visiting South Korea as a leisure tourist, you’ll receive a warm and genuinely friendly welcome. Combined with excellent facilities and a host of attractions, Incheon is one of South Korea’s best kept secrets,
Incheon’s Chinatown is the only official Chinatown in South Korea, and is right next to Liberty Park, a stunning open space full of tranquil corners where you can escape the noise and energy of the city.
Incheon is a very modern city, and many of its attractions are relatively new. For a fantastic view of the city head to the North Asia Trade Tower in the heart of the rapidly expanding Songdo International City. For a more traditional flavour, the Incheon Islands are a great escape from the bright lights, and life here is more sedate.
The islands are accessible by ferry, and are criss-crossed with hiking trails and relatively quiet beaches. The best islands to visit are Daecheongdo, Yeonpyeongdo, Ganghwado, Yeongjongdo, Muuido, and Deokjeokdo.
Back in the city, the Arts Centre is an arts and entertainment venue located in Guwol-dong, with frequent performances of traditional Korean plays, dancing and theatre. The Centre sits in the middle of a thriving retail district too, making it convenient for shopping and browsing.
Flights to Incheon with Qatar Airways land at Incheon International Airport, South Korea’s main air transport hub. Visa restrictions for entry into the country will depend on your country of origin, length of stay and whether your trip is for business or pleasure.
