Qatar Airways Flies Formula 1® Drivers and Team Principals to ‘F1® The Movie’ Premiere in NYC

Following an exciting weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix, Qatar Airways gave Formula 1® teams a luxury experience with award-winning service and complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity

As the Official Partner of the movie and premiere, Qatar Airways will be featured on the big screen

NEW YORK, USA – Qatar Airways, the Global Partner and Official Airline of Formula 1®, today hosted Formula 1® drivers and team principals on a Qatar Airways charter flight from the FORMULA 1® PIRELLI CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 2025 to New York City. The teams had the opportunity to view the highly anticipated premiere of the upcoming summer season’s film: Apple Original Films’ ‘F1® The Movie’. The movie, from Warner Bros. Pictures, will be in international theatres from 25 June 2025, and in North America from 27 June 2025. 

The Boeing 777-300ER flight departed from Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and arrived at John F. Kennedy International (JFK) earlier today, transporting stars of the sport ahead of their appearance on the red carpet at tonight’s world premiere.

Guests experienced Qatar Airways’ world-class service and award-winning Qsuite business class featuring lie-flat beds, sliding privacy doors, and customisable seating for groups travelling together. Throughout the journey, the group were able to stay connected using Starlink’s high-speed Wi-Fi.

In partnership with Qatar Airways, Warner Bros. Pictures, Apple Original Films, and Formula 1®, the premiere was held at Radio City Music Hall this evening and featured appearances by filmmakers, cast, soundtrack artists, and special guests.

Filmed during multiple Formula 1® races over previous seasons, Qatar Airways’ branding is featured throughout the movie, reflecting the airline’s growing presence in the world of elite motorsport. As the Official Partner of both the film and its premiere, Qatar Airways is proud to be part of this global cinematic celebration.
