Flights to Croatia with Qatar Airways

Croatia has steadily risen as a coveted travel destination for visitors from the European continent and further away. Travel to Croatia with Qatar Airways and discover the ‘New Riviera’, also often referred to as ‘New Tuscany'.

Croatia’s biggest attraction is its coastline, which is 6000km long and has more than 1100 offshore islands and innumerable bays and coves. You can always find a peaceful and private spot away from the crowds here. Many traditional fishing villages, and small boats ply between the islands, so there are loads of things to do along the coastline, from sailing and fishing to diving and snorkelling.

Away from the beach you’ll also find a lot of colourful history in great cities like Dubrovnik, the Jewel of the Adriatic. This old, walled city is next to the islands of Korcula and Hvar, popular for picnics and sunbathing. Istria, on the northern coast of Croatia, is heavily influenced by Italian culture and is famous for its food and culture and is a real treat for gourmets and fans of all-things-Italian. The capital Zagreb is renowned for its stately Austro-Hungarian architecture, museums and art galleries, as well as its beautiful monuments.

Croatia is full of beautiful architecture, much of which was created by one man. The sculptor Ivan Mestrovic designed most of the country’s town squares as well as many of its national monuments. A former student of French sculptor Rodin, he was responsible for Zagreb’s Croatian History Museum, a must-see on any itinerary.

Getting around Croatia is a pretty unique experience, as much of it is done by boat between the islands. Regular car ferries operate all along the main coastal route from Bari to Dubrovnik, and there are small boats available at numerous locations. The bus service is good too, so you should have no problems seeing most of the sights when you fly to Croatia with Qatar Airways.
