Doha, QATAR – Fresh from his resounding three-shot win at the Qatar Masters, tournament champion Alvaro Quiros took time following his victory to draw the latest winner in the Qatar Duty Free Company car prize draw.
The draw was held at Qatar Airways exclusive Premium Terminal at Doha International Airport where Quiros was scheduled to depart for the Dubai Desert Classic which begins this Thursday in Dubai.
The Spanish Quiros joked that unfortunately it wouldn’t be him that was taking home the BMW 7 series – the latest prize on offer from Qatar Duty Free Company – though he was more than happy with the winnings he received from his triumph at the Qatar Masters.
Over 1200 eligible tickets were in with a chance to win the Qatar Duty Free prize which was won by Xavier Al Meida from India. The winner takes home a brand new BMW 7 series.
Qatar Airways and Qatar Duty Free Company were official sponsors of the 2009 Qatar Masters. As the tournament’s official airline, Qatar Airways flew golf professionals, amateurs and officials in and out of Doha for the country’s golf bonanza.
During the four-day tournament, Qatar Airways hosted a dedicated hospitality suite at Doha Golf Club where invitees enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day.
An outdoor exhibition stand at Doha Golf club allowed visitors to discover more the airline and its superior service both on the ground and in the sky. Expansion plans including the launch of a new direct route to Houston scheduled for the end of March were highlighted.
