Qatar Duty Free And Dunhill Pick Winning Ticket For The Dunhill - Audi A4 Convertible Car Promotion

Doha, QATAR - Qatar Duty Free has held a raffle ticket draw for its highly successful Dunhill Audi A4 Car promotion within the departures area of Doha International Airport.

Ms Danette Roux, Travel Retail Manager Middle East for P&G Prestige Products and Mr Devesh Kuwadekar, Qatar Duty Free Marketing Manager, conducted the draw in the presence of passengers and Qatar Duty Free officials. Passenger Mr Ashraf Al Mulla travelling through Doha International Airport drew the winning ticket.

The winner, Mr Ali Abdullah Ali Malik bought his lucky ticket recently at Qatar Duty Free while travelling to Kuwait on Qatar Airways flight QR136. Passengers buying any Dunhill fragrance at Qatar Duty Free received a raffle ticket to enter the AUDI A4 Convertible Car draw. The two-month promotion started in January and ended on February 28.

"The Dunhill promotion was extremely successful and very popular with our customers. With this promotion, we witnessed more than 100 per cent increase in Dunhill sales compared with last year," said Krishna Kumari, Qatar Duty Free Deputy General Manager.

"Qatar Duty Free is one of the Middle East's most outstanding success stories in recent years. Along with exciting year-round product promotions and value for money offers, Qatar Duty Free also raffles exciting luxury cars and the US$1 million in cash in regular prize draws."

She added: "We will continue to offer our customers more value for money promotions. Qatar Duty Free has been experiencing continued and significant growth in recent years. Currently with 1,100 sqm of retail area, we have achieved more than 64 per cent growth over the previous 12 months and have ramped up our presence in the departures and arrivals area." She said that the airport performance was being driven by growth across all product sectors.

Doha-based Qatar Airways will operate a fleet of 110 aircraft by 2013 – almost double the existing size. Qatar Airways has ordered 80 Airbus A350s, 60 Boeing 787s and 32 Boeing 777s, with deliveries of the latter having started in November 2007. The airline is a launch customer of the twin-deck Airbus A380 ‘super jumbos’ with five aircraft on order and scheduled for delivery from 2010.
