Qatar Airways Spreads Its Message On Doha Buses

Doha, QATAR – High-flying Qatar Airways is making its mark on the ground across Doha with specially branded buses promoting the airline and its new corporate campaign.

A number of Karwa buses, operated by Mowasalat, have been fully branded in Qatar Airways colours in a promotion that runs until May next year.

Qatar Airways recently launched its new-look corporate campaign highlighting the best attributes of a world-class international airline that has moved from a regional operator to a global player in a highly competitive industry.

With a new aircraft livery set to be unveiled to coincide with the arrival soon of the first of its new Airbus A340-600 long-haul aircraft, Qatar Airways is moving into a new era of air travel, which is reflected in the new bus ad campaign.

Qatar Airways is focused on offering genuine hospitality, which is mirrored in the high levels of onboard service.

The airline currently operates a fleet of 47 aircraft to 70 online destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Far East and Indian subcontinent. Together with its codeshare partners, Qatar Airways serves more than 90 cities worldwide.

Qatar Airways is one of only four airlines in the world ranked Five Star for service and excellence by Skytrax, the independent aviation industry monitoring agency. Skytrax also named Qatar Airways’ cabin crew as Best in the Middle East for the fourth year running in 2006 and second best in the world following a survey of more than 12 million passengers worldwide.

Doha-based Qatar Airways will operate a fleet of 110 aircraft by 2013 – almost double the existing size. Qatar Airways has ordered 80 Airbus A350s, 60 Boeing 787s and 32 Boeing 777s, with deliveries of the latter having started in November 2007. The airline is a launch customer of the twin-deck Airbus A380 ‘super jumbos’ with five aircraft on order and scheduled for delivery from 2010. Qatar Airways moves to the New Doha International Airport in 2010, when the first phase of the new facility opens. For more information, visit www.ndiaproject.com
