Pink lakes, Australia

Western Australia’s pink lakes, Lake Hillier and Hutt Lagoon, are beguiling to say the least. These natural wonders exist due to the lakes’ high level of salinity which gives the waters an unusual pink hue. Both lakes can be accessed by car from Perth’s CBD, with Hutt Lagoon being the closest (five-hour drive), but we recommend taking a scenic flight to truly admire the bespoke scenes.
