Tourist attractions

For more information on the history of the Saudi people, a visit to the National Museum is a must. This museum is an interactive experience that utilises high-tech gadgets to immerse visitors in the atmosphere and culture of the country. It’s one of the city’s most popular attractions, with daily performances and virtual tours of some of the country’s great battles and events throughout history.

About 40km north of the city is Wadi Hanifa, which has been transformed from a dried riverbed into a stunning desert park that gives you a chance to escape the noise of the city for a gentle picnic or to explore the tranquillity of the desert.

Back in the city you’ll find the Kingdom Centre, an ultra-modern structure and the second-tallest building in Saudi Arabia. The view from the 99th floor Skybridge is truly spectacular, particularly at night.
