The starkness of the rugged mountains is set off against the aquamarine seas. The fringe of soft creamy sand set off against beautifully planted gardens. Muscat is traditional and authentic with a sea of white villas filling the narrow strip of land between sea and ranges, with no building being more than 8 stories high.
The culture of the land is treasured in its Forts, Castles, Palaces, Royal Opera House and Mosques and is as spectacular as its incredible geographical features.
But that is not all as modern life in Oman is in complete harmony with the heritage of the past and its ancient history. A world where hospitality is not just a tradition but a way of life.
From the beautiful hotels, grand forts, exquisite palaces and mystical souqs, to the undulating dunes, fresh water wadis and miles upon miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, Muscat is just waiting to be discovered.
