The change of the guards, a ten-minute ceremonial procedure that takes place every hour is worth a watch.
Athens and Attica have the most prominent archaeological monuments including Acropolis, Odeion of Herodes Atticus, Olymbion, Roman Market, Panathinaiko Stadium or Kallimarmaro, and The Temple of Poseidon in Sounio. A visit to the many museums, mainly, The Acropolis Museum, Archaeological Museum, Military Museum, Benaki Museum, Byzantine Museum will give you an insight on the rich heritage and history of this city.
Other important places to visit include Temple of Olympian Zeus, Lykavittos Hill, Ancient Agora, Monastiraki and Temple of Poseidon.
Athens is surrounded by pristine beaches. Flisvos Marina promenades a great destination for all ages, and is ideal for the whole family to take walk on the crystal sand beach or take dip in the fine blue clean waters.
