If you have always envisioned the clearest waters, the softest sand and the most delicious cuisine you have ever tasted, you will need a trip to Phuket. Besides the beach and nightlife, Phuket is also known for some rather unique attractions. Head to Phuket Fantasea, a cultural theme park offering big extravaganza. It is a stunning 140-acre theme complex, packed with activities, such as carnivals and a Vegas-styled theatrical show.

Alternatively, trek the jungle on an elephant and enjoy the wilder side of Phuket. A trip on a raft will also take you deep into Southern Thailand’s lush Phang Nga province. Be prepared to get wet as you go rafting down mountain rivers fringed with the forest. Another interesting thing to do is to take a boat out to Phi Phi Island. This is one of the best excursions from Phuket, and takes a whole day. Leaving in the morning, the excursion includes a visit to island caves, a glass bottomed boat/submarine trip, snorkelling off the island and a trip to Maya, where the movie “The Beach” was filmed.

Whether in the water or land, you will definitely find something great to do.
