Hay Festival Kerala is being held at the Kanakakunnu Palace, the summer retreat of the erstwhile royal family of Travancore and will witness over 30 events over a 3-day programme of events which will include authors and speakers from India and across the world, gathering among the tranquil waterways and lush hill stations of this tropical southern state.

The World Petroleum Congress (WPC), and its accompanying exhibition, is regarded as the largest event of its kind for the Oil and Gas industry.
Qatar was selected as a host country for the 20th World Petroleum Congress by the World Petroleum Council in 2007. Previously, Madrid, Johannesburg, Beijing, London, New York, Paris, and Rome have hosted the event.
The Congress covers all aspect of the industry from technological advances in upstream and downstream operations to the role of natural gas and renewables, management of the industry and its social, economic, and environmental impact. In addition, outside stakeholders such as governments, other industry sectors, NGO's and international institutions have also joined in dialogue.
