Fine Wines & Champagnes

Expertly chosen

We have 2 international Masters of Wine on our selection panel to carefully handpick vintages from the world’s best producers for Qatar Airways’ customers. Our committee meet two times per year in Frankfurt for blind tasting, they spend 3 days tasting at least 300 wines, taking into account differing taste profiles and how the palate is affected at higher altitudes. Their mandate is to simply find the very best wines that can be enjoyed in the sky.

Globally desired

We take pride in being international. Our wine program represents 12 countries, and covers different grape varieties and styles. We believe in adding flavor to your journey; therefore, change our wine list every 3 months. We are the only airline to offer different selections going East and West out of Doha in First and Business class, this means that our customers get to enjoy a new wine list during their onward flight.

Beautifully presented

Customers in First and Business Class will be presented with their own wine menu, eloquently explaining each selection.  We also include food and wine pairings to help you choose the perfect glass for that perfect meal. Customers flying in Economy Class will be presented with two red and two white wines to choose from.

Skillfully offered

Enjoy sommelier style service at 35,000 feet. We are proud to have a large number of  WSET(Wine and Spirit Education Trust) trained cabin crew onboard with extensive wine knowledge. They will present you with a bottle and then pour a sample for tasting, mirroring the service of a fine dining restaurant.

Qatar Airways has won many awards for its Economy wine program including an exclusive award for Extraordinary Selection Beyond the Traditional Categories from Cellar in the Sky Poland in 2012. We present our customers with four different premium wines to choose from:

In First class we begin the journey with a nicely chilled glass of champagne complimented by a selection of amuse bouche and caviar:
