Whilst Ho Chi Minh City certainly recognises its past, it looks forward with modernity and a cosmopolitan atmosphere and is now an important business, commercial and financial centre.
Oslo Airport is not just a transport hub, but thanks to its extensive art exhibitions and displays, practically an art gallery too! Qatar Airways flights from Oslo take you from this northern location to a number of Middle Eastern destinations. Located just 19 miles from the centre of Oslo at Gardermoen, the airport offers passengers a smooth, relaxed and distinctly Scandinavian experience.

Also known by its original Vietnamese name of Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is one of Asia’s powerhouses and a city on the rise. This attracts investment and entrepreneurs, making it a perfect destination for business travellers.
But Ho Chi Minh City isn’t just about business and progress, and there’s plenty of ancient tradition for tourists to see. Book a flight to Ho Chi Minh City with Qatar Airways and you’ll discover a world of contrasts – ancient temples and monuments sit alongside ultra-modern skyscrapers, and a warm, friendly welcome is guaranteed whatever your reasons for travelling to this unique city.
To understand the culture and complex history of Vietnam, a visit to the Museum of Vietnamese History, at the intersection of Le Duan Street and Nguyen Binh Khiem, is a must. This impressive colonial building houses an internationally important collection of artefacts charting the history of the country. It is also surrounded by the Botanical Gardens – a peaceful and tranquil oasis in the middle of what is a very busy and noisy city.
For a more recent rendition of historical events, the Ho-Chi-Minh Museum, at Duong Nguyen Tat Thanh, Dist. 4, gives you a fascinating insight into the life of the man who unified North and South Vietnam after the end of hostilities.
Ho Chi Minh City has 12 mosques, the largest and most impressive of which is the Central Mosque, built in the 1930s. You’ll also find some beautiful older religious buildings such as the Thien Hau Pagoda and the Phung Son Tu Pagoda.
