Qatar Airways is pleased to offer a convenient transit hotel accommodation for customers who face extended transit times in Doha en route to their final destination.
This service is available on a paid or complimentary basis depending on eligibility.
Flight itineraries involving departures or arrivals from the following cities will be ineligible for this service due to our higher flight frequencies: Abu Dhabi (AUH), Bahrain (BAH), Dubai (DXB), Kuwait (KWI) and Muscat (MCT ).
Also, flights departing from Germany or return flights to Germany are ineligible for transit hotel accommodation.
Eligible customers will be offered the following services:
*Confirmation of your hotel at Doha does not guarantee entry into the State of Qatar. This is entirely at the discretion of the Qatar Immigration Authority. Qatar Airways is not liable in the event entry is not permitted, in spite of a hotel booking.
You may be eligible for transit hotel accommodation in Doha, if you meet the following criteria:
*Codeshare/partner carriers: This service is offered on itineraries with codeshare partners, if one of the flights is operated by Qatar Airways and the other flight is marketed by Qatar Airways but operated by another airline.

If you have booked this service as part of your Qatar Airways journey, please follow these steps upon arrival at Doha International Airport. The most important step is to obtain your hotel voucher.
A hotel voucher is required at immigration for your temporary visa to enter Qatar and at the hotel to obtain your room and meals.
Your baggage will be checked through to your final destination. Therefore, we recommend that anything you may need during you transit stay in Doha, such as medication, to be placed in your hand baggage.

With a longer stopover, you have the option of exploring Doha but you’ll need a visa first. Citizens of certain countries can obtain visas on arrival but it’s best to arrange for one before you travel.
Modern taxis are widely available and can be picked up at the airport or various locations throughout the city.Limousines can also be arranged at the airport from a number of private car firms. Or you can use the Mowasalat bus service, which has routes throughout Doha.
Delight in a casual walk along the Corniche—a favourite vista among residents. Snap photos in front of Doha’s luminous coastline and inspiring skyline or enjoy a meal at one of the many local restaurants.
Enjoy tax-free shopping at any of Doha’s many shopping malls—only a short car ride from the airport. Choose from City Centre, Landmark, Hyatt Plaza, The Mall, Royal Plaza, or Villagio malls.

For passengers with longer stopovers—between 8 and 24 hours—Qatar Airways provides accommodation, meals, and ground transportation. This complimentary service is available to Qatar Airways customers meeting select route and fare class requirements.
You may opt to pay for this benefit if you are flying a route or itinerary that is not eligible for the complimentary service as long as no immediate (less than 8 hours) connections are available. However, you must book this service at least 72 hours before arriving in Doha.
