Fly with Qatar Airways 4 times a week to Ta'if, commencing 2nd October 2013. Award-winning hospitality and a 5-star experience await you onboard.
Visit Al Rudaf Park, a large natural park located south of Ta'if where trees lie scattered amidst magnificent, weathered granite rocks, or appreciate the beauty of the Ta'if Rose Plantation. In the month of April, the rose fields are filled with small fragrant pink roses that are picked at dawn and later distilled into expensive Ta'if rose oil.
Head to the Shubra Palace, the regional museum of Ta'if, which served as a lodging for King Abdul Aziz in the 1930s, or enjoy a trip to the site of Souk Okaz, located 40 km north of Ta’if. The site is the largest and most well-known of the pre-Islamic souqs or gathering places. The souq was a scene for annual social, political and commercial gatherings, it was also the location of competitive recitation of poetry and prose. The buildings remain intact, including prominent outlines of basaltic stone walls.
Watch the sunset from the large nature reserve at the top of Al Hada mountain, at 2100 meters above sea level.or visit the small village of Al Shafa, situated high upon the Sarawat mountains at an elevation of 2200 to 2500 meters above sea level. Rich in agricultural products, this is where the fruit gardens of Ta'if are located. Take great shots if you like photography, and if you're looking for an adventure, try a camel ride.
