The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF) is an organisation that was established in 1988 to improve the treatment, quality of life and the long term outlook for children with brain and spinal cord tumours through research, support, education, and advocacy to families and survivors.
The diagnosis of brain tumour in a child is the start of a lifelong process that requires daily attention and support from family and friends. CBTF is one of the few organizations that work with both the survivor and their family to support them through a continuum of care--during treatment and well beyond. Although no parent should suffer the loss of a child, the organisation provides bereavement support programs for families as well. The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation's mission is to make sure that these families never feel alone and to fund research to ensure that this devastating disease is eradicated.
Qatar Airways supports the foundation by contributing to the annual benefit organized to raise funds for the foundation.
