Book a flight from Hong Kong to Doha with Qatar Airways

Discover the easiest, most comfortable way to fly from Hong Kong to Doha with Qatar Airways, the award-winning service that puts you at the very centre of everything we do. Our luxury aircraft fly you from the commercial epicentre of the Far East to our own international transport hub at Hamad International Airport in just under eight hours. The emphasis is on comfort and luxury all the way, delivered by our attentive, friendly crew.

Doha’s importance in the Middle East is unquestioned, and its position as a world-renowned centre for commerce and trade is also key to the success of the region. Alongside those shining skyscrapers though, you’ll still find the ‘old’ Doha – a traditional fishing village with a timeless, relaxed approach to life and a warm welcome for visitors from around the world.

Flying from Hong Kong

Hong Kong International Airport is also known as Chek Lap Kok, the name of the small island that is home to this iconic air hub.

This incredibly busy airport has been named the “World's Best Airport" by Skytrax no less than 8 times.   Efficient, friendly and helpful, the airport staff ensures that your time in Hong Kong is pleasant and your trip gets off to a great start.

Transportation and parking

The Airport Express bus service links the airport directly to the central business district. A fleet of buses takes travellers from most parts of the city to the airport, and the service is incredibly efficient, regular and quick.

Taxis and coaches are available outside the main terminal entrances, and a limousine service is also available. Car parking is available in three separate areas, although spaces fill up very quickly and availability in the long-term parking areas is limited.

Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport

Flights from Hong Kong with Qatar Airways check in at Terminal 1, Aisle E.

Unless you are a Hong Kong resident, you must return a departure card at immigration control when leaving Hong Kong. The two terminals are linked by a central access way and covered walkways at either end. If you are boarding your flight at gates 501-510, you can take a free shuttle bus from Terminal 1 to the North Satellite Concourse.

Facilities and amenities

Hong Kong International Airport has excellent facilities, ranging from a vast array of retail outlets to some excellent dining opportunities.

The airport even has its own 9-hole golf course – the Sky City Nine Eagles.  A wide selection of dining options are available, serving Chinese and Asian food, as well as on-the-go snacks, coffee and more European-style cuisine.

Home to the Educational City, museums, cultural attractions and much more, Doha is a surprising destination that is full of interesting sights and activities.

Dominated by its crescent-shaped bay, Doha was originally a collection of fishing and pearl-diving villages. Today, its skyline rivals that of any international destination worldwide. A flight to Doha with Qatar Airways gives you a chance to discover this fascinating city for yourself.

Tourist attractions

Doha has a wonderful selection of museums, including the Msheireb Enrichment Centre. This is a barge docked at the Doha Corniche, close to one of the city's oldest landmarks, the Sheraton Hotel. It holds exhibits that chart the country’s historic background as well as its continuing plans for the future.

The Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art has recently opened and is home to a collection of modern art from across the Arab world.

The Al Koot Fort was built in 1880, and is a popular photographic stop for tourists visiting Souq Waqif – a charming traditional market and the social heart of the city.  The Clock Tower is next to the Grand Mosque, and because of its hilltop position it offers panoramic views of Doha and the Corniche.

Doha Heritage Village is located along the Corniche in Al Rumeilia Park, and is based on a traditional Qatari village.
