Ezeiza is primarily the location of the airport and much of Buenos Aires industrial heartland, including newly developed areas for its growing high-tech industries. This attracts business travellers from all over the world, but if you want to see the old Buenos Aires then head into the city centre. You cannot experience Buenos Aires without the Tango – the legendary dance invented in the city. The best place to see an authentic Tango (rather than one that has been adapted for the tourists) is at a ‘Milonga’. Head to the Salon Canning, El Beso, Porteño y Bailarin and the Maldita Milonga for the best dancers, or pick up a guide map called the TangoMap Guide to find one in the area near you.
Two hugely popular sports in Argentina are football and polo. Their two football teams, the Boca Juniors and the River Plate, are followed with real passion, and tickets to their matches (known as the "Super Clasico") are the hottest tickets in town. For horse lovers the polo matches held at the polo fields in Las Canitas, especially the major December tournament, are a must see.
