Book a flight from Moscow to Bangkok with Qatar Airways

When you choose flights from Moscow to Bangkok with Qatar Airways, you’re guaranteed the most comfortable of flying conditions. Your trip to the majestic capital of Russia will pass effortlessly by as you’re supplied with award-winning services and are able to relax in spacious seating. Enjoy fine in-flight cuisine delivered with a smile by our highly trained, attentive cabin crew, who are here to look after you throughout the journey.

Thailand’s capital has many facets, from modern high-rise buildings and a famously lively nightlife to its more traditional and historic legacy of glittering palaces and temple complexes, night markets and a bustling humanity. Bangkok is a very cosmopolitan and multicultural city, with friendly people and an excellent transport system. Famously clean, you’ll find some world-class shopping malls here, and restaurants that specialise in the finest cuisines.

Flying from Moscow

Moscow is served by three large airports, and passengers flying from Moscow with Qatar Airways will depart from the largest airport in the country, Domodedovo International Airport. This huge air hub handles approximately 30 million passengers a year, and is an efficient and well-run airport.

Current redevelopment of the airport will mean that once completed the entire airport will operate from a single, giant terminal with extremely modern systems including X-ray and enhanced security systems.

The current airport offers a good selection of facilities as well as a very efficient service for passengers travelling to destinations across the globe.

Transportation and parking

The city’s Paveletsky Station is connected to the airport via the high-speed, non-stop Aeroexpress train. The journey time from the centre of Moscow to the airport using Aeroexpress is approximately 50 minutes and is the easiest way to travel from the centre of Moscow.

A 24-hour minibus shuttle service operates between the Domodedovskaya underground station and the airport and takes approximately 15 minutes, while taxis are plentiful and take around 90 minutes from the centre of the city.

It is strongly advised, though, to ensure that you use official taxis, and travellers should ask their hotel concierge to arrange the pick up for them. Spaces for more than 5,000 cars are available for both short and long-term parking, and a VIP parking area is located next to the international terminal.

Arriving at Domodedovo International Airport

Passengers flying from Moscow with Qatar Airways depart from Concourse A, which is part of the main terminal and is specifically for international flights.

The terminal building itself is vast, so utilise the information boards to see which gate your flight is departing from.

Facilities and amenities

Meeting rooms are available for business travellers, while public lounges are open to all passengers. Wi-Fi is available for a fee and there are free Internet kiosks throughout the terminal, as well as mobile phone charging points.

A children’s area keeps young travellers entertained, and there are also a surprising number of retail outlets selling very good quality goods and accessories. Duty Free outlets are available once you have cleared customs, and the food hall offers a wide selection of light snacks and more substantial meals.

Arriving in Bangkok

Book a flight to Bangkok with Qatar Airways and you’ll arrive at one of the world’s most exciting and popular destinations.

Not only a beloved destination by the adventurous travellers and ‘backpackers,’ but it’s also a wonderful destination for the more discerning, luxury travellers.

Whether you’re looking for ancient temples, bustling markets, lively nightlife or absolute luxury, you’ll find it in Bangkok.

Tourist attractions

Many of the city’s best known sights can be found in the historic centre within the Rattanakosin district.

The most spectacular attraction is the Grand Palace, which was once home to the King of Thailand and today offers visitors a rich mixture of history and architectural splendour.

Within the palace grounds you’ll also discover Thailand’s holiest temple, Wat Phra Kaew.  Other highlights in Rattanakosin include the large reclining Buddha statue at Wat Pho and the Thai-European fusion of Wat Ratchabophit.

Other popular districts worth exploring during your trip to Bangkok include Siam Square for sheer high-end luxury shopping, and Silom for its bustling entertainment venues.

For a very different perspective on the city and a more relaxing way to see the sights, go for a cruise down the Phraya River.
