Transportation and parking
Short-term car parks are situated just a few metres from the terminal’s entrance, while longer-term parking is accessible in a nearby location. Public buses are available to take passengers from long-term parking facilities to the main terminals.
The clean and efficient Metro trains run roughly every 10 minutes to and from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and there are plenty of taxis available. Drop-off points are located outside the main terminal entrances.
Buses arrive and leave from stands opposite Terminal 1, 2 and 3, but you will need to buy a Nol card in advance as the drivers do not take cash.
Arriving at Dubai International Airport
Qatar Airways flights from Dubai depart from Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport. However, Qatar Airways also flies from the new Dubai World Central Airport, so it is important to check which departure point your flight is leaving from.
To save time, visitors from countries that are granted automatic visas on entry to Dubai may find it useful to purchase an E-gate card to speed up immigration formalities. The E-gate card office is situated in the upstairs food court area of the Terminal 1 departures concourse.

A 30-minute free Wi-Fi service is available for passengers, and longer access to the network is available for a small charge.
A comprehensive business centre offers a wide range of corporate services, and there are plenty of other facilities on offer including prayer rooms, baby care rooms, banks and medical services.

You cannot escape the importance of Kenya’s wildlife, and around Nairobi there are plenty of sanctuaries where you can see some of the country’s most endangered inhabitants. The charming Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage provides a home to orphaned elephants and rhinos from all over Africa, While the Giraffe Centre in Lang'ata is of international importance as a breeding centre for the endangered Rothschild giraffe.
And while most visitors head to Nairobi National Park, a quieter and less crowded alternative is the delightful Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park, a refuge for Colobus monkeys, leopards and countless species of birds.
